On the other hand, knowing what we know now, if we had traded THT and Shroder, it is just like losing Shroder the way we did and just trading THT straight up for Lowry. Something to ponder, like relativity!!
He wanted to chose money over everything else but forgot he was up against Pelinka. No mon, no fun, your son. Too bad, so sad, your dad.
wait...so we're to believe that he chose boston...out of love? that's f***ing rich, pun intended. the lakers did offer me the 100 million, but i wanted to be payton pritchard's backup and live in city renowned for its racism (and undying love of things like payton pritchard). also, my haggling for more money there wasn't about money, either. that was about...respect? i don't know. i'm very sad right now.
I don't buy it, her support. As with ALL Lakers players, significant others and the FO .... they lurk on LB and have been reading me clowning him about the conversations with the wife ever since he turned it down. I guess the last cracks about her smacking the top of his head and calling him "dummkopf" every time she walks by prompted Dennis to tell her to get out there with this.
He turned down the Lakers offer for a chance to play for the c-bags for whatever they were willing to pay him? “for his goals and his vision (being true to himself and not only thinking about the money)”?
yeah, it's great to support your spouse, but don't gaslight me. just say that you believe he'll do what's best for your family and that this will be a good journey or something. not "he's not about the money anyway". that is crazy.
Sounds like she is standing by her man, but really this has no credibility, like Camille Cosby standing by Bill Cosby and saying she does not believe the hundred or so women saying he assaulted them. Poor Schroder thought the teams would have enough money and room to sign him, but like McCavity the cap was not there. I like to call this theory Schrodinger's cap (cat?). The teams would just find eighty million for him. Meanwhile he is now a cautionary tale for dealing with the Robfather, who made him an offer he could refuse and now he has paid the price. Was that whole offer reverse psychology? Maybe Rob didn't want him that last time and knew Dennis would not sign. That would be some next level GMing, offering an eighty million contract to get rid of someone. Dennis turned out to be pita bread from purgatory or something like that.
At least we know Schroder has a good woman who’s “Ride or Die” with him. She’s willing to stick through bad decisions, give up generational guaranteed wealth for their grandchildren, live in sunny LA… and ride with her man by giving all that up to go play on a 1 year contract to live in Boston for a year. Most women would have left an idiot and say that’s just Darwinism.
