Absolutely crucial component of our championship. Will never forget his contributions. Aside from the AD buzzer beater, his corner three and driving score in the fourth quarter of Game 4 is one of the most memorable sequences from the bubble for me. And I do think that his struggles to end this past season were probably due to his injuries … BUT, I can’t lie, he’s a very streaky guy who gets into his head, and it has been in the back of my mind if maybe he is one of those guys who was able to play better in the bubble due to the reduced pressure from no crowds.
As soon as his name started popping up in trade rumors this off season, I thought we might have to move him. He's always done better after the trade deadline when he was still here. Rumors get to him a bit.
I’ll always appreciate his play in the bubble, key piece of that title. But I won’t miss his extreme streakiness, though he did always play hard on D and probably run around the court more than any other Laker twice over chasing the opponents guards.
He played smart and worked his butt off on defense. Yeah he's streaky but he was still by far the Laker roleplayer I trusted to hit an open shot. Nothing but the best for him.
He is a role player and I thought he was quite reliable 4 out of 5 nights for 10-12 points, above average defense and some 3 point shooting. He didn't miss a lot of games until that injury last year but he was available and had a heady attitude for the most part. Pre-Lebron he was all over the place but he matured a lot the last 3 years. Finishes his time being 5th in franchise history for 3s made. He had a good run here
Grateful for his run in the 3rd round and Finals of the playoffs in our title run. Absolutely drove me crazy at times when he’d go on those 2-3 week stretches where he couldn’t throw it in the ocean. Was always professional. Wish him the best in wherever he ends up at.
at first i thought this was in reference to the ankle bracelet jokes, and i almost spit out my tea. the joke that got away.
I also think losing him hurts us. He was an ok defender and very good shooter. He could also shoot FTs, so he didn't fit on the Lakers anymore lol. But not the brightest decision maker on the court.
He was a very good defender. Who's a better defender than him in the league that isn't a star? How many are they?
we had to downgrade at sg to upgrade at pg is how i look at it. gotta try to use schroder to replace backup sf and pf i guess.
Dang!! Wish he was still playing for us. He was streaky scoring wise but he was in his overall game consistently damn good both sides of the ball. Fast! Great on the break.
