For the minimum, I'd gladly take him back. You can get one of the best rebounders in history for a bag of peanuts, you do it.
The main reason I’d like to have Drummond back is he still gives us interior defense and athleticism I’m a little concerned about the age on this roster. Drummond is still in his athletic prime.
yeah, i have no idea why you'd bring him back now. we don't need a third center, and he'd be the third-best one.
Man he was coming out of college not THAT many years ago, and can still get up occasionally. That’s what shocked me when I saw that highlight reel on LG. If he’d drop 20 lbs it would go a long way toward that again since he’s not that old and in his “prime”.
If he can be had for just his rebounding, shot altering, and catching the occasional lob, I'd welcome him back for the vet minimum. I don't really care for his post game because he's nowhere as good as Dwight in terms of consistency and creating space. Regardless, all these centers are mainly to spell minutes for AD so he doesn't have to play the 5 all the time; we can save his usage there for 4th quarters and playoffs.
Weird decision. Go to the Sixers and back up Embiid? Would have expected him to prioritize a starting job somewhere. I'm just glad it's not with us.
If you can't get a starting gig on a playoff team, it makes sense to go to the playoff team with the most frequently injured center. This should be interesting
Now that I think about it, he is probably anticipating being the Sixer starter when Embiid goes down with his inevitable yearly injury.
Drummond was a likeable guy. Good luck in Philly sitting behind Embiid. Would’ve been a better fit somewhere like Dallas.
