his take on simmons/giannis is right, i think. the simpler way to put it is that simmons isn't mentally strong at this point. stuff gets in his head easily.

i'm not sure the durant take is entirely fair, as had his running mates been healthy, he would have deferred. but he is right in that durant doesn't make plays for others. he's not a great passer, nor does he see the floor well. so his lesser teammates don't get the benefit of the great looks that lebron's (or luka's) teammates do on the regular. his teammates have to learn how to create off the advantage kd's gravity provides them, but that's not the same thing.

I'd say Bron needs to work on or at least use his midrange game more , this is the name of the game in the playoffs .

Should play closer to the basket more often too but doesn't like posting up despite being efficient at it .

His turn around jumper was lethal. He's fine at mid range.

Space Jam 2 is out soon. I wonder what Bugs Bunny on HGH is like - oops did I give away the ending? Lebron takes the toons to Miami for a week to train and they come back ripped. Edit like this scene but with the real East German stuff.

He's great with his back to the basket, he's just not nearly as good with the pull up mid range jumper driving to the basket

The pull up jumper looks a lot better from the 3 point line vs when he pulls up after a drive. Not really sure why but he's the opposite of Kawhii who looks so comfortable pulling up from the 3 point line but I trust Lebron way more with his back to the basket. I do think adding that shot would help his game as it's the shot defenses are willing to give up and guys like Leonard and Booker are making a living out of it.

Thanks for saving us Lebron. Those were some brutal years post Kobe.

Bron was on my favorite podcast this week (Bateman is one of my favorite living humans)

Here's what he had to say about playing out his career as a Laker...
I think he will retire here unless he goes to play with his son. If Bron is dead set on playing with, just not against his son, then I really hope we do whatever we have to do to get Bronny here, just to keep Bron a Laker and for him to retire one. Bron and Klutch have a lot of juice, so even if it takes his son refuses to play for anyone but us...

The more interesting part to me was Bron's timeline he gave off the top of the head. His low number was 4 years and stretched that out to possibly 7. If that's what his body is telling him right now, that's very good. I know father time is undefeated and all that can change with a single injury, but it's good that's where his head is at.

If he things he can keep playing for so long, that's a good sign. It means he'll be 100% ready after the off season and the injuries weren't that big of a deal after all. Very encouraging.

I thought this was an interesting conversation:

I think he'll be remembered as a Cavalier, but honestly, when he goes into the HOF, it should be a Laker because we are the premier team in the NBA and I do think if he plays another 5 years and wins another championship with us, you can make a good argument for why he would be on the Mt. Rushmore of Lakers.

He's a Cav through and through. Made them relevant. Left. Then did it again when he came back.

It's too soon in his Laker run to say what his exact Laker legacy will be, especially if he gets anywhere close to the additional years he wants to play (4-7). He brought us a 'ship in the most emotional/tragic year in franchise history. That alone is huge. But he's still writing the final chapters of this book.

It is very rare for a player to go to three teams and have the kind of success he's had. There's not really a model to compare it to. He'll get a number retired in each city, easily.

He's from Akron, not Cleveland. He is a brand. He will go in as Lebron. That's it.

Many of us thought he was a B after only a few years. Ask the coaching staff 1st Olympics.
