I seriously doubt Mitch would do us dirty like that. He's still a Laker at heart. I hope.

My take on THT is pretty simple. I do what I have to to keep him. Put him in the starting line up 34-36 minutes a game and let him play through mistakes. By playoff time we have another star on our hands. This playing sporadic minutes and then games of not playing at all is BS. We let him go we will be kicking ourselves in the a$$ for the next decade. Plus Cookie likes him, that is good enough for me.

There's such a wide range of opinions on THT league wide. But all it takes is one to think he's a max guy to skyrocket his contract.

(Pincus ran some hypothetical numbers on a Dame deal and it included a couple THT nuggets)

it's better for THT to hold out for a poison pill RFA contract than to participate in a S&T, right? i think we're keeping him for now.

“Yeh! Yeh! Yeh!” :D Well hopefully Lethal Shooter does better with THT than some of his other projects and also gets him to put the “jump” into his mid range J’s. Going to need it in there.

It always amazes me how easy those shots are for these guys in practice. Near 100%.

    Then comes game time.

Story of my HS career LOL. Thought I was the best shooter on the team just in practice and on my own, then those stupid games get you gassed and it’s harder.

same. i was a 90% ft shooter in practice. 70% in games. i could go around the arc and hit 18/25 in practice. 30-something% in games.

on the plus side, i think the crowd/game situation amped my athleticism up a few notches, which was part of the problem for the shooting, tbh. i shot better later in games after i tired out some. too much juice early. i remember if i'd get a breakaway early in a game, i'd often shank a layup because i was up higher/moving faster than normal and couldn't adjust. lol.

Am I the only one that sees our players working with this #lethalshooter dude, but none of our guys are becoming lethal?

I know KCP struggled in the playoffs this year so it’s fresh in our minds, but overall I’d say he had positive results. And was that Mckinnie in the 2nd half of that clip? Not sure if he worked with lethalshooter before and he had limited attempts this season, but I actually thought his shot looked pretty good when he got minutes.

I honestly can’t recall what other Lakers players worked with him, but I’d say at a minimum it’s probably a mixed bag of results.

    You're mean. :giggle:

In my defense I wasn't FAT! Just didn't have Kobe Bryant yet to inspire me to better cardio. Not like I wasn't in decent shape cardio wise. I didn't know what I didn't know.

It appears you are right. I think our stagnant offense has us shooting out of rhythm which causes lower percentages.

You people had to smack on him boxing for his training and on his choice of shooting coach so now he’s given us no updates for 3 weeks.

right; nothing surprising, and the QO can be rescinded at any time i think (not that it should).

my guess is we're paying THT 10.4 million next year, and the question is what comes after that. i'd offer him that for 4 years and see if he bites on the security, telling him that if he wants to drop it to 3 years with a PO on the third, that's cool, too. otherwise, secure the poison pill offer, and we'll just match it.
