If we're stuck with him for another year, it needs to be written out the contract that unless someone is hurt the he is coming off the bench and will STFU about it. And in that scenario, I think we need to make a hard push to convince Trezz to stay. Really think them getting their 2 man game off the bench going would be the best for everyone... you know, what we thought we were getting this season. I think that's their best way to maximize their value for their next contract elsewhere.
i really think we were worried about pissing him off (red flag, btw) and losing a couple assets for nothing. one would think he'd have been humbled a bit by his performance after he got what he wanted, but i'm not sure schroder deals in reality. it will be interesting to watch.
If Reggie Jackson really does sign for MLE, like was mentioned in the Clipper thread then that should be a huge wake up call for Dennis. He can’t possibly think he played as well as Reggie has in these playoffs. DRose is another example. Obviously both guys are over preforming their contracts but when do these kinds of contracts bring down the overall PG payscale , if ever. I’m not talking pay for stars, just these kind of guys.
reggie's a unique situation, though, as he's buddies with PG. i think without that, he'd be taking 15-20 per for 3-4 years this summer, which is what schroder's market probably should be, too. is reggie better right now? yes. but he wasn't last year, and he's a bit older and has a more serious injury history, iirc. anyway, i think reggie signing for MLE will be an anomaly and not indicative of the market. terry roziers and such (basically capable small scoring guards) are getting 15-20 per.
Lost his damn mind! Guess he and his representation didn't learn anything or gain any humility from the post season.
Guess Dennis plans on signing a 10 year contract because that’s the only way he’s getting that kind of money. Talk about no self awareness.
This guy is truly delusional. Unless he thinks talk like that will get him back to the range of MAYBE??? a little more than what the Lakers offered him from some other club? They’ll be Jedi mind tricked into thinking “that’s” a great deal? Eff him and his agent and the horses they rode in on.
The PG market this a summer is going to be interesting. I see guys like Dinwiddie saying that 20-25 million is the going rate for point guards. Lonzo is looking for 20, Lowry wants 50 for 2 years. Rozier is chirping about he needs 20 plus next season. Look at the obscene about of money Chris Paul, Westbrook, Kemba, Kyrie, even Conley are making. I have no idea what's a fair price for a point guard these days. I can't blame Schroeder for asking
LMFAO, he’s a backup PG that has no court vision and can’t shoot. He’s out of his effing mind. Maybe before he had that horrible playoff performance he would get 80 mil, but he might have cost himself even that.
I doubt it, Rob already offered him 20 million. That's not going down, he's going to get at least that amount from the Lakers . It's the business, If one less than stellar playoff series was the determining factor, a lot of these guys wouldn't have these fat deals.
Don’t sell yourself short. You’re worth at least a 150 million. I think we all our if Dennis is the benchmark.
