Actually you have. More than 12 years ago when he had the audacity to get "chosen 1" inked across his body.

He just said it in his press conference. I'm sure it'll be up everywhere soon.

LeBron has to think he's the best, you have to have that mentality to be the best. Just don't like that smug look on his face as he feels the need to announce it.

I have absolutely zero problem with him saying that. He's 100% right.

Can't help but look into those eyes and see the question mark though. Even the best player in the world doesn't win every game. Jerry West has only one ring and he never beat the C Bags. LeBron's path looks to be going the same way so far.

I said it back when the series started: 2-4 in the Finals. That's all you need to know about LeBron. All the stats and records in the world and he's 2-4 in the Finals. All series long I've heard the names Jordan and Magic brought up constantly. That's skipping right over of course Kareem, Russell, Duncan, Kobe, Bird, Hakeem, etc.

You know who's not 2-4 in the Finals? Any of those guys. All-time greats aren't 2-4 in the Finals LeBron. There's a reason people skip over Wilt in most conversations of Greatest of All Time. There's a reason people don't remember much of Elgin Baylor and it's not time, it's hardware.

That's alright we'll see LeBron again in the Finals in a year since the East is garbage. Next year when he loses again, there'll be more media excuses than ever.

Lebron is the best player in the world, but it's like he has this split personality on the court. in the first 3 games he was in a beast mode. and that what gave them the almost 3 wins, but in the last 3 (and yes, today dosen't count for me a great game by him, he's just good at getting stats) he was in his looser's mode. at the start of the 4th querter I knew the Cavs are gonna break just by the look in his face.
it happend so many times on the finals. this confused face.
and thats why, right now, he is not part of the truly greats.

Talent wise - Curry, Durant and Westbrook can match his skills with the right team. but the experience he has is the plus factor for him.

Actually I think he's been great in almost every game this series. He can't beat a good team by himself that's all. I'm just sick of hearing that he's the greatest ever and that no other player could do what he's doing. Magic could. Jordan could. Kobe could. Kareem and Wilt and Russell and maybe Bird could. Walk through a useless Eastern Conference and then single-handedly win a couple games? Yeah all the All-Time greats could do what he's doing. Maybe not the same way, but they could do what he's doing. Let me tell you, Kobe or Jordan single-covered? They'd average 60 points a game in this series. Tristan Thompson would average 20/10 cleaning up after Kobe.

I just want to hear the damn pundits admit after LeBron is 2-4 in the Finals that he's not the Greatest of All Time. He can be the greatest right now, but he's not the Greatest of All Time.

    More Cavs fan gold....

"You know what MJ's record was before Scottie Pippen came, 1-10...."

"Jordan would have never made it to the Finals, let alone the ECF with this current roster."

    True or False?

Michael Jordan couldn't beat a .500 squad C Bags, a Bulls team with no offense and a .500 Hawks team? LOL please get off of Bron's sack and get some common sense. MJ at the same age Lebron in the playoffs, 35/7/6 48%FG, 39% 3PT. And he couldn't be the teams the Cavs did? I about slapped him.

You know who Jordan was facing as a young pup? Effing Larry Bird and the C Bags teams of the 80s. A team that would have s*** all over Lebron at the same age as MJ.

Doc...with Jordan you have to mention the Detroit Bad Boys. Until he went to Miami to team up with Wade and Bosh, James could not get past the same two teams either...and that self proclaimed champion Howard's Orlando Magic team.

Doc I feel so bad for you, I can barely deal with the LeBron apologists here. I can't imagine how bad it is in Ohio...

It truly is awful.I have no problem putting Lebron up there with the greats of the game, he truly is a generational player, but like Real said a couple days ago, don't disrespect past greats by saying everything Lebron is doing no one else could possible do. That is absurd and ignorant.

The whole basis for Cavs fans right now is - We aren't going to win, so we have to prop Lebron up as far as we can and s*** on all the past greats to make this run look like the most amazing thing BY FAR the basketball world has ever seen.

In reality - The Kang is having a great great Finals, but he beat 2 crappy teams and the Bulls on the way to the Finals. And honestly what past championship teams are the Warriors beating? They are a really good team, but c'mon Lebron isn't beating the great Spurs/Lakers/C Bags/Bulls teams of the past.

I said it earlier in this thread, but what Dirk did is more impressive to me. He is the ONE superstar that took down a giant without other stars. In their primes no less.

What Dirk did in 2011 from a shooting perspective was insane. I've never seen that before and I've been watching the NBA since the '80's.

Bro, Kobe came into the league in the wrong era. Over confident/arrogant athletes seems to be the in thing now. Richard Sherman, Floyd May weather, etc...

LeBron has always been like this, he talks in 1st person about himself all the time. I love it. This brings competitiveness back to the game. He's saying I'm the best knock me off my throne if you can, MJ was the same way. I wish more players were like this, modesty is cool, but come on it's sports.

Just watched Open Court... It was where the panelists picked their own topic for discussion. It was "The ring or the money?" Chris Webber's opinion was along the lines of winning and losing on their own. His statements was he'd rather lose as a man to a better player, holding his head high, instead of being a punk taking the easy way out. Yes he said "punk"... Webber talked how he could have joined Duncan and bandwagon a ring but it wasn't his style. Interspersed in all of this was a clip of James holding trophies with the Heat.

Oooh...listened to this and had to do a Tyson Beckford face like he did in "Zoolander".

Side notes: Webber is "salty" to this day about the series losses with the Lakers and had to see a psychologist...said that the championship window in Sac closed when Christie was traded.

That's unfair I think though... True for LeBron he definitely took the easy way out, but for Webber specifically maybe he SHOULD have chased a ring at some point. Instead he's left with nothing and he's barely a footnote now.

He had his chance with the Lakers when they were courting him but our past series victories probably played a major role in him spurning us. Pride... After his micro-fracture knee surgery, Webber was never the same again.
