i know we're saying that, but it would be dangerous to allow a few weeks to override years of data. he was appropriately paid on his last contract. exceeding that is a mistake, as you pointed out--we were overpaying on the deal he rejected.
Such a disappointing game from Dennis. I don’t know what he was doing out there but it wasn’t Laker ball. CP3 knows all this guys weaknesses. I’m afraid he’s going to feast on Dennis this next series.
the irony that this was basically the same conversation we had about danny green last year! just win us a couple playoff games to help us feel less bad about you! danny green: how about...NO?
he's modern jason terry, but the clock is ticking on him realizing his role and embracing it like terry did.
It's just mind blowing to me the path he's gone down in his career because of limited IQ and thinking he's something he's not. Atlanta drafted him to be the next Rondo, yet today he's about a far from Rondo (at any stage) as it gets. Honestly he should fire his agent this summer. There are 12 PGs making over $20m. 10 of those 12 are all stars and Murray (11th) probably should've been one. He should be grateful for the $16m, you could argue that's a little high. Guys like JC and Smart make less.
it seemed like the yr he was traded from Atl, few of his teammates were glad he was gone and made it known on twitter and he had a few heated exchange with Trey i think. He cleaned up some of his attitude issue in OKC but looks like old Dennis with bad attitude is back thinking we need him more than he needs us
i think the relationship is still salvageable, but it won't be easy. i'll reiterate that his agent has to be quite nervous right now. as jsm said, guys who make the money he wants produce way more and without attitude questions at every stop.
He was straight up trash last night. I think Rob’s gamble in replacing Green with him was worth it especially with the injuries we’ve had and his ability to lighten the load on Lebron in a short turnaround season. But I am more than ready to cut ties with him and move on after this year. It will feel like addition by subtraction to get rid of him and his bad attitude.
Lebron should goat Cp3 into an opt out and then agree to SnT with Pho for DS? if we beat pho in this matchup it should make it even more appealing for Cp3
i wouldn't go that far, but yeah, i'm ambivalent at this point, at best. we would be down to zero guys who are threats to break down the defense off the dribble, which isn't fun. and there's not a ton of guys who can do that and will be available. i'd prefer to engineer a s&t for a cheaper version who's less of an a**.
i highly doubt it, his playoff run with OKC wasnt great either, his raw #s were decent but all of his fg% dropped big time compared to his regular season #s
You must be an NBA junkie? Did you watch as much of all the playoffs as possible? Props. I know a lot of peeps here are but I only care about the Lakers.
