Dennis is clearly the better player at this point in their career. He plays better D, he is miles better offensively. But as a pure playmaker and - especially - as a floor leader, Rondo is much better, obviously. Schroeder is able to play more games without being injured.

    Some stats:

    Rondo: 5/4/2.3, 1 steal, shooting 42.6%.
    Schroeder: 15/6/3.5, 1 steal, shooting 43.8%.

Numbers-wise, there's not much to say here.

I'll add this though - let's hope Rajon doesn't have any more playoff Rondo left in him.

He won't have 6 months off to bottle it up like he did last year though.

Dennis says he didn’t have Covid, didn’t get vaccinated and he can’t get Covid during the playoffs. Guess he has playoff immunity. Like WTH? I hope your backyard shooting was fun.

Reporter: Earlier this season when you went into quarantine due to contact tracing, you expressed your disappointment and basically I think you vowed to not have that happen again. What was it like for you to have it happen again and see what the team went through while you were out?

Schröder: “I mean at least I can’t get it no more in the playoffs. That’s probably the best thing. Me and my family was talking about it the whole time, we didn’t know, it was like ‘I’m not sure.’ End of the day, I mean, it is what it is. I’m back now and can’t wait for tomorrow and the playoffs, play-in, whatever.”

Reporter: Dennis, just to clarify, you did have COVID, correct?

    Schröder: “What’s that?”

Reporter: You did have COVID? You tested positive?

Schröder: “No, I didn’t test positive. I went to separate things to get tested, but I mean, it is what it is, like I said. I’m the only guy who didn’t get vaccinated, so I’m gonna just leave it at that.”

Reporter: I’m sorry, maybe this is on my end and I’m just not understanding, but you said you can’t get it..

Schröder: “Next question. Maybe, then, f**k, what you want me to say? Next question. Simple. God d**m.”

Schröder: I guess maybe my question is moot, you didn’t suffer any physically symptoms or suffer any setbacks in that way with your health?

“No, I was fine. Family was fine, my friends and my house was fine. Everybody was healthy and it was good.”

Schröder: What were you able to do? How did you spend the last two weeks?

“I had a lot of time with my family. Shooting in my backyard. That’s it.”

Half the Yankees have covid and they were all vaccinated. This trash is getting stupid. Medical information is private. Mind your own damn business if you are a reporter. He already told you he didn't have covid. You can still get it even if you are vaccinated.

Schroder answered the question , wanted to move on, but the reporter kept pressing him, I don't mind him losing his cool. He missed the last 6 games, anxious to get back, he is a big part of this team. He and Caruso are going to have their work cut out for them playing these point guards in the playoffs.

Hope he does well enough in the playoffs for us to win and for some other team to offer him his 26mil. THT is going to be the better player. As soon as next season.

no one said the vaccine is 100% effective. it's meant to protect against hospitalization and death. out of the 8 yankees coaches who got infected, 7 are asymptomatic and one is experiencing mild symptoms. so basically proof that the vaccine does indeed work

    schroder is an idiot

I had 5 friends who got it a year ago who were asymptomatic before the vaccine came out. Nothing happened. What's the difference.

Besides, you can't ask someone their medical history. That's the point.

you can ask why they missed games and whether they felt good. and then you can ask for clarification when schroder made two conflicting statements. schroder can choose not to answer, but he doesn't have to be a d*** about it.

    but he's a d***, so that's what he did i guess.

can't help but think this is why no team seems too broken up about moving on from him despite his productivity.

well then your friends are incredibly lucky. the difference is that the vaccine protects against severe cases

the reporter can ask whatever he/she wants. it's not out of line at all to ask someone if they tested positive after being on the covid list.like @abeer3 said, schroder could've simply not answered the question but instead he chose to be an a** about it
