Absolutely if posting that Drummond is superior to Gasol is trolling, than I am 1000 percent guilty as charged.
Will be interesting to see how he will be used in the playoffs AC/Schroder KCP/ Wes/THT or THT/Wes? Bron/Kuz AD/ Kieff/Harrell or Harrell/Kieff? AD2/ Marc Lakers have legit 13 rotation players. I didn't even include Mclemore in the rotation above. It all depends on who is healthy and who is in rhythm/hot, lots of talented players and veterans might have to warm the bench until their number gets called
While I love THT, I'd trust Wes over him in the playoffs. The Kieff question is really valid... I'd say his minutes are dependable on the matchup and if he's hot from 3 or not. Because if he's not, he doesn't bring anything particularly exciting.
Here's how I would do it (feel free to pass this on to Vogel) :Vogelshocked: Center: Drummond - Gasol when they go big / AD all day if they go small & end of game PF: AD / Trezz or Kuz situational choice SF: Bron / Wes SG: KCP / THT / McLemore PG: AC / Dennis
so mclemore plays and kuzma or trez likely sit? i just can't see a scenario in which--if everyone's healthy-mclemore should see the floor.
Anyone else see this? From the hip thought here is doesn't remind me of him at all? Westbrook coming out of UCLA and his whole career has been about speed and power and vertical athleticism. THT isn't that guy. He's powerful and will be so much more that as he matures ..... but he has advanced handles and jukes with great moves and great footwork for his age. And yes ridiculously long arms.
Referring to my post? No McLemore gets only situational minutes if any (foul trouble / need a three) behind KCP & THT. Kuz and/or Trez get all their minutes behind AD, but If AD slides to 5 then they both get minutes. I am leaving off Kieff though in that rotation. Just been ice cold for too long now.
yeah, honestly, if we got both for 12 each, we win. my concern is that teams come offering 15+ for both. i could see 4/50 for both, and i think you take it and sort out salary problems later. would probably mean we lose drummond or trez, but competent two-way guards are harder to find than backup bigs. not sure THT qualifies as two-way yet, but he should get there soon.
I absolutely pay 12 mil per for each of Caruso and THT, rather have them for that than Dennis for 24 mil.
definitely. when we were might have kept schroder at his current salary, i thought we might have to live with S&Ting one of AC or THT to make ends meet, but once schroder declined that, i just figured we keep the other two and let him fend for himself. if he gets no good offers, we'll bring him back on a one-year at a lower salary or something.
If other teams poison pill us on THT, we start him off on first year and 2nd year with raise at less than 12, right? Then he becomes star salary paid last 2 ... with Arenas rule?
Except in year three what’s max for a player in their 4th season? And then 5th season. Still going to be worth it IMO from what he has shown us in 2 seasons and only 20 years old. If we have to “Arenas” him this summer to keep him.
