If this team is ever healthy, it's going to be terrifying for defenses. THT's development at times completely changes the complexion of games With THT's growth as a playmaker, Lakers are going to come at you with at least 2 elite rim attacking playmakers at all times or the Stockton/Malone duo fo Lebron/Caruso. It's so difficult when you can swing the ball around and have a guy on either wing able to get into the paint and force the defense to collapse. You add in the lob threats with Drummond and AD, you're going to leave guys like KCP wide open. The Nets tried to play there small ball lineups and just got killed on the glass and defense as the Lakers jumped over them and that's w/o AD and Lebron.
THT looks so comfortable as the lead guard. Got some good reads to steal the ball as well. He did great sticking on to a great shooter like Harris, he wasn't getting lost. Hope he continues to build on this game
Controlled the game after Schroder got ejected with his playmaking and decision making. I thought this was actually his best game of the season...
I don't know what the Lakers would do without this guy tonight. He created havoc passing the ball. A bit out of control but it's expected from such a young player. He did really well tonight. That ballhandling with his wingspan really makes him difficult to guard.
What a game from the kid, stepped up big when Schröder went down. He must be re-signed, we can’t let a 20 year old this talented walk.
He really pushed it when we lost Dennis. Did a great job when given the keys to the offense. Solid D and used that length in the passing lanes. Do have a complaint though, the J was terrible. Get with Handy. He faded on nearly all of them, even the open looks. The heat checks were the worst decisions he made on the court.
He's so good, but he needs to learn how to play under control. It's too much of this right now: And we need more of this: Does that make sense?
Unfortunately, like so many other players these days there is no “jump” in his “J” anyway. They don’t mind doing it for highlight dunks but too much effort growing up when they learn to shoot? Get off my lawn. Clearly there was a valid reason toward an advantage over the defender to do that.
Never say this again. I don’t want to subconsciously start hating THT and not be able to not see Mark Jackson when I watch him. Friggin gross.
His J wasn't falling tonight and yes he was fading away on almost every single one of them...but he still managed to control the game once Schroder went out and he made a lot of great decisions once he was given the keys. This will be THT's first game at the garden tomorrow night - really looking forward to seeing how he responds to the brightest lights of them all at Madison Square Garden. Could be a SIGNATURE GAME from him....let's go THT!!!
