i don't know. cousins put up huge numbers while never being in great shape. shaq did, too. some folks just have incredible natural/physical gifts.

also, drummond is kind of a stat chaser, imo.

yes ill be fair n say hes a stat padder that doesnt lead to wins, just like how i viewed K.Love posting 30/20 gms while his team gets blown out

There's never been any doubt he can play but he definitely has IQ and ego issues. This is hopefully one reason the Lakers will be the best choice for him. Normally on a team where he is featured he'll demand low post touches and despite his physical gifts he doesn't have great touch (opposite of Harell) and doesn't pass out of double teams well. He needs to do the Dwight transformation on offense and concentrate on just finishing and setting up mean screens. THen put your energy into defense and the glass.

We might not see my ultimate version of Drummond till AD/Lebron come back but part of that version has to be getting back hard on defense. Hopefully as his toes heals up and his conditioning improves he'll do that. This team could be terrifying in terms of size and mobility if he buys in and early signs are good but he's had a history of wearing out his welcome. (Detroit got rid him of for literally peanuts and Cleveland despite looking good with him couldn't wait to get rid of him as the year progressed)

Will definitely give him benefit of the doubt his first game with us prior to the toe injury .... due to rust. But got flashbacks of Dwight attempting moves in the post his skills did not support and turning the ball over. Have read that about him too, maybe from you, @Pioneer10 .

But just seeing him out there, not even with our true horses in Lebron and AD1 back yet, we look ”BIG” again. Same as when Gasol is in there. No offense to Luke running an even thinner Kuzma at small ball center. After genius Magic let Brook go who wanted to stay.

    ;)

Odd to me that Kupchak just started doing stupid stuff: he was a good GM for years with the Lakers and again with Charlotte he's turned it around. Really makes you question the Buss Brothers - after the initial drama Jeanni has stabilized things clearly in a good place

Yet, didn't he sign Mozgov at Charlotte again???? That really blew my mind.

He set the tone for the Lakers. LMA had no answer for him and got embarrassed by Drummond. Complete domination in the paint. If he played the 4th Q, he would have put up 30/20. Now imagine how open the game will be for him when AD and Bron get back.

He made Aldridge look old and soft, that was awesome. We got this guy for pennies on a buyout, whatever he gives is gravy. When LeBron and AD are back he’s gonna feast on easy dunks.

BIG BOY game from Drummond. He completely dominated them.

Where was DeAndre Jordan? They're going to have to play him against our bigs - LMA/Griffin are super soft and will get crushed in the paint

:D Yeah, but the league is full of soft played that won’t take advantage of that. Drummond is a beast who wants to be physical down low, it’s refreshing, dying breed.

He is exactly what the Lakers needed as well. Missing that interior enforcer below the rim left a huge void. Montrezl is great but he's more hustle and energy. Drummond is one of those players who are just too big, too strong. He will expose the Nets and Clippers.

He's going to expose the 2 teams we need to beat: Clippers & Nets

And he's going to help us STOP the other teams who have bigs that would give us trouble usually: Nuggets, Blazers, Sixers

Basically, he allows us to go either style without losing anything defensively. He can run the floor too, and he's a BIG body. He was perfect for this team.
