[IMG] ...... maybe he wanted a no trade clause in there? Whatever. He still has to ball out THESE playoffs if he expects to not be selling these down the road to feed his family and keep that fine new house he won't be seeing much of next year.

84 for 4 years is too much in my opinion.

Dennis is good but he ain't as productive next to LeBron.

I think it's a mistake to turn that offer down.

Someone might overpay for him but he won't sniff at a championship ever again.

We dodged a bullet with that one. What a bad decision by Dennis, that’s Sprewell level thinking right there.

I like The Hedgehog but turning down $84 million? Wow.

I'm not sure who is going to offer him more, and why? He wants all star money for his slightly above average production.

prediction: wherever DS plays next year, it will be for less than 20 million per.

he and his agent may have misplayed this one--assuming it was all guaranteed cash. if the lakers offered a team option on year 4 or something, it's not as silly to explore the market.

but fully guaranteed 21 per for 4 years...i don't think he's going to make that.

See ya when season’s over Dennis. We can offer that to Drummond if he pans out the rest of the way.

No, we can't offer that to Drummond.

    That's just misinformation.

If Schroder walks, it will hurt.

LBJ is going on 37, and since he's been a Lakers, he has already been injured twice.

Rob explored the market for a deal with Lowry, but I wouldn't have included THT and you just have to take your chances on the possibilities of what might transpire this summer.

Fact remains, though: we need a PG.

I agree for the most part but we need a playmaker. Doesn't necessarily have to be a PG.

Can we do that with the cap rules? That would be good if we can. Personally I’m good with either that or letting him walk and resigning THT and Caruso. AC is a great fit with Lebron and THT can back him up. KCP still starts at SG. Get a vet guard for cheap to fill out the rotation. We aren’t getting a third star IMO with our financial restrictions.

In the meantime we are getting good value out of DS. He was brought in on a swap for DG and he’s way more productive especially given Lebron is out for a number of weeks. Hopefully Schroder will at least help us get a ring this season.

Thought that offer is more than a fair deal, if anything its too much of an overpay on our part. I know he hasn't been great by I like Scrhoder, but anything more than we offered is getting a little crazy.

the player coming back cant push us over hard cap line, best case scenario is ds goes to a team with cap space and we pay em with a draft pick and get a tpe out of it

This contract talk has definitely gotten him distracted and brought unwanted discussion on whether he's worth it. Right now he's not and he's unsettled about not having a contract that he likes
