So then you get the guys who are bought out and one of two things happen, first will be that nobody will sign them, second would be that if someone did it would only be the bottom feeders. Simmons should just say it the way he means it, be transparent. He does not want the Lakers to be able to do anything that makes them good enough to win a ring. EVER!!!!! ANYTHING!!!!! You know where he can stick his head!?!
Rebound percentage is basically the amount of rebounds that were available to be grabbed while the player was on the court. So if there were 100 rebounds in total when Drummond was on the court and he grabs 25 of them, that's where the 25% is coming from. So from a statistical standpoint, they are the best rebounders. But yeah, there are other factors involved so it can be misleading. Doesn't necessarily make it a meaningless stat.
Very good. Gasol has been completely useless in terms of production. Slower than the statue of liberty and can barely jump over a newspaper.
He basically just stands in the elbow and passes the ball.. So predictable. It makes it difficult for the Lakers to get open shots because he's not a roll to the basket threat. At least Dwight would roll to the basket and drag defenders to him. Gasol just stands there and drags the offense down.
He needs to change his game to be more like Rudy Gobert. I don't think teams are interested in him taking 17 shots per game when the majority of his shots are near the rim and he's shooting just 50%. If he can just rebound, play great defense, and set picks for his teammates, he will get a nice contract. But if he continues playing the way he did previously, he's gonna be very disappointed in the offers. Anyhow, I'm sure the Lakers made it known to him what they expect. Frank is a smart defensive coach... if he can turn Hibbert into an All-NBA level defender, he should be able to get Drummond up to speed.
it's always interesting to see what these guys who are gifted but for whatever reason not really cut out to be #1 or #2 scoring option on a team will do when they get put into a team that wants them in more limited role. If like Dwight he sticks to defense, rebounding, putback, setting up tough screens and then rolling hard to the basekt he should be a force. He's a big dude, athletically gifted who can make life difficult for small guys on the glass and just rim running and also a credible matchup for Jokic and Embiid. Now the problem is if he thinks when AD/Lebron gets back he deserves post touches (he's terrible post player) or needs plays called him for him general then this could go sour. He'll obviously touch the ball a lot more for now till these guys heal up but hopefully the cache of Lebron and AD helps them. I mean outside of guys like Durant and Kawhii who the hell is going to say Lebron we're not going to run things like the way you want. The other issue will be the Nets if they want to go small ball 5: you basically have to go with AD at the 5 in those situations as I don't think Drummond can rotate fast enough for those 5 out lineups
I like too that he can look up court after a rebound and put some some velocity on his chest fired outlet passes. Like other Lakers also do well. With him cleaning the glass our fast break scoring should increase.
Maybe he should ask if your GM is a chode and doesn't know how to get his team over the hump, they get an extra 2nd round pick.
