Kid is a load with his mass, wingspan and moves going to the rim already at 20 and persistent as hell about it. Wait until his deep shooting surely improves once access to practice and the facility and schedule normalcy eventually arrives again. Look the hell out trying to contain him. He’s already going to school on some of LBJ’s moves like the one legged Dirk mid range fadeaway and driving spin move, Kobe’s up and under and other counters with footwork beyond his age. And muscles up those crazy arms.
He hit a shot with his left hand!!!! This is after a he tried a left handed layup the last game - that's it he's going to be star for sure now. Just kidding or am I? The kid has such a weird game of hesitations, long steps, awkward handle, good passing that a few additions and he becomes so tough to guard. Matthews minutes are going to be gone when AC comes back. THT improvement is forcing Vogel to play him and have him learn from his mistakes on the fly
I see a lot of Manu Ginobli in TNT's game. He has a lot of the same weird, unorthodox, and unpredictable movements.
Those will rise up in value for sure, lol maybe. I collected Eddie Jones RC in the 90s, sure that he will be the next Laker superstar, never cared for his back up, a cocky rookie who came after and ignore his RCs
i still own that cooky guy rookie card...this was my most valuable card as a kid...just need to get it graded...trying to get a tht signature card but man even an unknown guy still pricey since these are super rare n live signatures
Fat Ginobili a great comparison lol You can even retread one of the greatest nicknames in NBA history to fit: Talen Hot Plate Tucker
I remember Hot Platehis nickname was a play on his namesake John "Hot Rod" Williams who played for the CavsFat sumb!tch couldn't keep himself out of the fridge but sure was talented.
As powerful as THT is already and certainly capable of thunderous dunks in his future with better selection and timing .... his highlight plays currently are technique and finesse with skills on display. If getting to the rack often and consistently or dishing off when collapsed upon isn’t playmaking I don’t know what is. Then mix in that strength and we’re going to have us a homegrown star player. It’s obvious. Shooting and aerial game to come. Now it’s all handles, moves, touch and surprisingly good passing and awareness.
