Championships will be all that matters... If he can help the Lakers win, he deserves it. If we don't and he plays poorly or just average, I would take our chances with free agency. Who knows, maybe CP3 takes a 3 year $60 million contract and opts out of his 1 year deal.
James made a concerted effort to hand him the rock to initiate the offense while he ran down the court to conserve himself.
gee-ZUSS. We looked like a different team last night. We saw shades of it against Portland but the ball movement last night was particularly sublime. I get the feeling Schroeder is gonna go to the mattresses for us in the playoffs.
The difference between having Dennis available vs. not is enormous! Love what he's bringing since he's come back.
We had to do this in our house. My wife was with a friend, who later found her (the friend's) parents were Covid positive. Since the parents lived with her friend, we made sure not to see my dad for two weeks, even though my wife tested negative. Just a precaution. Frustrating for the Lakers, but a responsible precaution. Everyone's fine now, btw
He came to a championship winning team and at the time annoyed virtually all of us expecting to start and not wanting the 6th man role and coming off the bench any longer and for all the right reasons he’s walked the talk and proved his value in the starting lineup.
It's fine: his job is to get in the lane and every team has to account for him. Just his presence is the difference between the Lakers looking like a lottery team vs ready to contend for the title when AD comes back. The ability to dribble and setup the option was sorely missed when he was out. One thing that is holding him back from being an elite PG is his passing. Once he turns the corner on his guy, you sometimes expect a turnover as much as an assist. Not sure what he's doing wrong but he just seems slow at reading where the open guy is going to be.
I wonder about his size and wingspan. When he and Morris start throwing the ball away, I kind of go nuts. It would be great if he could limit his turnovers.
he's not a natural pg and doesn't really see the floor that well (maybe physically, as wino suggests, but i think it's more of a pattern recognition ability). good news is when you have lebron and marc gasol, your pg doesn't need to do as much in the way of orchestration. but this is why teams should be cautious trying to max him out in FA. he's an important starter...for us. in minnesota, they'd be disappointed after paying him 20 per for four years.
Dude IS quick that's for sure. And it's pretty amazing how because he's quick to stay in front of guys and aggressive as hell getting up into them, like Avery Bradley, he rarely looks overmatched against taller and much heavier opponents. I mean he only weighs like 170, right? He's a tough cookie for sure just like @Cookie who doesn't come in peace to opponents message boards. No!! "She comes for DOOM"
Nice to see him score 20 plus again in the absence of AD. We don’t need it every night but we do need the threat of it.
I have seen you recently and the difference between you and Dennis is night and day. Maybe if you kept the regular zumba then you'll fit a Laker uniform and look like him
