Hope he is traded. A negative player.

He's earned the right to play thru a slump. He's gone thru slumps since Lebron has been here but he comes out of them
Still hustling on defense and not doing stupid things so give him time

EVER? Ok. Will be watching your posts as he continues to score 4 points per game. He is not a shooter, can’t pass, and gets no rebounds.

Not a shooter? He was pretty great (40% ish therebouts from 3) in our championship playoff run and hot enough with his “form” to lead the league this season for what .... 6 weeks to 2 months (?) before cooling off and being in a bit of a slump again. It happens. Good thing Vogel first time coaching him last season for the first part of the season didn’t take your observation on this.

At least if he’s not feeling it in games he’s not continuing to jack them up and forcing it.

It’s a pretty bad take. A lot of us were saying the same thing at the start of last year and then KCP put together a good season and excellent playoffs to prove us wrong. The body of work is large enough and he’s earned some patience from fans.

Is he good enough? Maybe. Is he clutch? No. Does he rebound? No. Does he play-make, no. Is he better than average on D, yes. Not saying he totally sucks. Saying he is the best place to upgrade and a weak link as a starter. Not saying we must trade him, but should try to upgrade there. Again, I will see if you called him KCPee or similar before, and as we go forward.

Say you disagree and why...Classifying an opinion shows hubris and worse. You know, “bad” form.

I “hope” he bounces back and gets more consistent, an actual offense would help. But if we will always resort to Bron or AD iso plays with guys standing around watching, I would “hope” they get a better player who can bring more for the team - beyond 4 points and 2 rebounds a game despite playing 28 minutes every night. Someone who can entry pass better too.

Much of it is on Vogel too - no movement on offense except when there is a fast break.

If someone has to go to allow us to keep AC, along with them “seemingly” set on THT and Schroder too (?) .... I would hope KCP is that player. But in a trade player(s) and salary have to come back so don’t know how that helps cap and tax wise.

You originally said that he’s a negative player. That’s not true. Saying he isn’t clutch was proven wrong just a few months ago. He was huge in the playoff run. Now the goalposts are moving.

KCP is a streaky shooter. What goes up (%) must come down as well. He’s been great on D so he’s still playing but he’ll start shooting again.

If he was our only shooter struggling, I'd be worried. Our whole team outside of Bron is in a slump. Wes is hitting when he gets minutes and Kuz is hitting when he's smart and not forcing the issue.

KCP has an annual slump. But as others have said, he's earned the right to work his way through it. He's been huge for us when we needed him. I'm OK with dropping his minutes a hair and giving them to Wes until he snaps out of it.

i'm going to cry/laugh later when most of guards get injured or something and we don't have enough players to fill minutes--but right now, it feels like we should be resting kcp and wes in shifts. just flat out sit kcp--even if healthy--in favor of wes for a few games, and vice versa.

i realize that this isn't something that can really happen, but i'm still tempted as armchair coach/gm.

The lack of shots from 3 is more a short term ( as of now) concern than anything else .

Do opponents run him off the 3rd pt line/don't help off him as much as they did before ?

    Have not paid attention

No. He IS a negative player. Negative wins average. Negative value added. Lowest PER of all our back court players in the rotation. Not even top 50 amongst shooting guards in PER. Averages 28 minutes for the Lakers and is a negative value and 10 PER? Just averaging 6 points in last 12 games??

Again, I blame Frank for having no offense. But a few games in the bubble doesn’t change who he is. Better options out there and I hope we find one and move him.
