glad that beal's getting respect. and even though i'm trashing young in another thread, having brown and lavine ahead of him is ludicrous, fans. wiggins and wood over ingram is pretty silly, too--again, for a guy for whom i'm not the world's biggest cheerleader.
I have gone to a couple of basketball games while in Atlanta and that city always think the grass is greener on the other side of the hill. They root loudly for the other team. It used to blow my mind.
I've been in ATL for 25 years and it's gotten worse over the years. it's a large melting pot with people from everywhere else, so they either rep the team from back home or the flavor of the week. Doesn't help that the local product has been s*** across all sporting platforms and have produced some of the biggest choke jobs in sports ever (still not over the SB vs Brady and the Pats). The last Hawks squad I felt the city was really in the trenches with was the late 90s team with Deke, Mookie, Steve Smith, and coached by Lenny Wilkens. That team was consistently good and the city had billboards of them everywhere. Years after that, they had their 60 win in 14-15 and the city rallied behind them. But it's always been a what have you done for me lately City with minimal loyalty. But yeah... Hawks games usually are just chance to see the traveling team.
Kept Morant quiet most of the game... Injured hand did not bother him except affecting his shooting. From G-League participant to a key piece in the rotation.
Is AC on a minutes restriction with his hand? I feel like he should be playing more minutes if he can with DS out. But not sure how the hand is.
Yep I don't understand why Kuzma and AC aren't getting their minutes bumped up significantly. Defense was just so much better when KCP/Kuzma/AC was able to play together
Hope AC's shoes don't fall apart on him like Lonzo's Big Baller Brand shoes did. I have no trust for NBA player shoes that aren't Nike and maybe Adidas.
He went out tonight and didn’t shrink from all the props as a “closer” that article gave him. 3 or 4 spectacular plays at the end of regulation to get us to OT all on his own. I’m missing at least 1. Clutch tying up the bigger player for jump ball with his lightning reflexes and then even more amazing quick twitch reflex to smoke him in the jump. It was a good toss and he went up and got it before the taller guy got barely off the ground. The leaping save way off the end line to keep the ball alive which resulted in a score and one more I’m pretty sure. Guy is an incredibly heady player.
When it comes to his new contract, he'll get paid less than his melanin rich counterparts due to discrimination in the league, and it's a shame. /sarcasm but true
