He's better defensively than his reputation and as I've said, with his motor and hustle, a lot can be taught and corrected.

And we've got AD working with him. And I've seen Dudley coaching him during timeouts throughout the season.

Having a big able to come in, gobble up those minutes with AD out, and put up 20 is HUGE. It should allow us to be able to sit AD until he gets right.

We don't win these last 2 games without Trez.

So far so great from Trez. He is bringing the energy and the points from the bench big time.

Pretty sure he's my favorite player right now.

He's in attack mode every second. Good things happen when he's on the court.

It must be absolutely demoralizing for the other team to have to deal with Montrezl's energy late into the game. This guy is running on Duracell 24/7. Seems like that mid-range shot that he was hitting down early in the season hasn't showed up now but he's been insanely efficient scoring the ball. He's actually a very good option late into the game to post up.

Yeah, he is incredibly efficient right now. I don’t know how he manages to finish directly under the basket with multiple guys surrounding him. He somehow muscles it up, shoots the ball and almost wills it in.

His flat, fast, short baby hook is a strange shot. It goes in but it always looks, like it will barely graze the front of the rim :)

From a technical standpoint, most of those (hook) shots have no business going in, but they somehow do most of the time.

Really true. We rarely see him in pick and roll action at all. It’s a waste not to do so for easy points. He and Schroder have a natural feel together and it would be a great pairing.

I think he and Dennis can easily score 40 ppg. ^ Those numbers are elite BTW. If he was a more versatile defender, he'd be an all-star. But then he'd cost a lot more... what we signed him for is a bargain for this type of production anyway.

So crazy flat, line drive as Chick used to say. But it works!
No doubt Karacha! They basically each scored 19 per game off the bench last year on their respective teams.

He's been a MonSTAR as of late.

And the fact that you can just give him the ball and let him go to work. Some nights he's been the second best at creating action for himself (behind Bron)

great for trez that he's adding some iso ability to his game. that's been a legit knock on him, and he's clearly worked on it. team d is next, and he's obviously trying there if not always succeeding.

I'm getting the sense that Frank isn't a fan of the PnR. Even with AD, it's not being utilized enough. Trezz and Schroder seem like a perfect match but most of the time, Trezz isn't even rolling to the rim. It has to be by design. I think Trezz could do a lot more than what he's been showing out there but Frank knows what he is doing so I will trust that he is making the best decision.

Totally agree BangBoomPow. Why I just don't get, but I think you are right. They really under utilize it. Basically every time AD and Lebron run it, the P and R or Pick and pop will result in a score. But it happens way too seldom. And now as you say with Trez and Schroder who should be giving us a steady diet of P n R but it's just not happening much.
