In the end him and Trez proved to be too much for OKC players. Amazing energy as always; plays hard even when he's not shooting well.

Hmm, well to be honest the beating SGA was giving him most of the night it seemed more like Schroeder was playing the Jake LaMotta "you never knocked me down" after taking a massive amount of damage from Sugar Ray Robinson

Glad the vets are pushing him. He goes Where's Waldo? too easily when he's out there with Bron and AD. I'm fine with him taking a backseat to them in the 4th, but I want to see him look for his shot more in the first three Qs.

Certainly good for them to do that as he is surely dialing back what he knows he can do in deference to them and the team and the faction of fans here that feel he is taking away from their games. Confirming he too, as is the case with most of the organization .... lurks on LB.

somehow, I doubt it. If I was a player, the LAST THING I would do is lurk social media. If anything, I would have someone else do it for me and tell me what they thought would be good for me to know.

Somehow I think that, coming from me, is a tired running joke. ;)

But ya never know with some of these hard to explain coincidences. :D

Horribly, at least in terms of public perception.

Which is why I say to the pro's, just stay away from social media. Hire someone to do it for you and ONLY tell you the things that you need to hear. 95%+ of all these BS is a waste of their energy. If you are playing your best, there is nothing good that can come from hearing what others think about you. Even if they listen to me, cuz I'm always right, it would be a waste of their time.

25 years from now, everyone is going to look back at the social media days and realize it was the tipping point. Truth is, everyone was better off when they didn't know everything everyone was thinking.

not to totally derail, but it's an interesting question. i tend to agree that social media is kind of the end of civilization in some ways (ironically, too--as it could/should be a step in positive evolution). but you suggest it will pass. i'm not sure. i don't think you can unring the bell.

as for what nba players should do--i'd like to think if i were one i'd steer clear. you got into the business to live a happy life, and there's not a ton of evidence that being "very online" is part of that.

I think social media will basically fall back to what this site it, specialty topic sites where you can't talk about religion or politics. All the current large sites will implode and likely lead to civil war. Imagine if we had social media that allowed Chinese, Americans and Russians to duke it out for social superiority. It would end in a world war. I have no doubt.

Dennis has to be better shooting the ball... 31% from three is not good at all compared to last season. Teams are starting to dare him to shoot and he's missing wide open shots.

He's eligible for that large contract extension in 3 days. Will be interesting to see how the Lakers handle it.

It's a long season we are going to need him to play well

^^^ has me doing this with how it may affect our chances of keeping the Eagle (assuming the FO knows they have to keep THT).

this is the part of the business about which we never get to hear the real story. i'd imagine that sometime soon, rob will sit down with his agent (and him, hopefully), and try to gauge his interest in being part of the franchise long-term (vs. biggest possible payday). i think it's a conversation that can be had by adults and can lead to the right resolution. in the end, if he wants to stay, he needs to take less than max. and if he's not willing, it wouldn't shock me if he were traded right away.

my preference is to keep him on a contract that looks more like kuz/kcp (a little more, but not his 20 per max).

I know foul trouble was a big part of it, but man he was The Invisible Man out there against Memphis. He's not helping his upcoming salary negotiations, which is good for us. Hopefully he'll be more of a factor against Murray.
