AD doesn't look out of shape to me. At all. He is not in a game shape, possibly, due to playing injured the entire POs and short off-season for recuperation. Hence nagging injuries.

yes, absolutely shut him down so he can get to ~100%... doing so will provide the other guys with valuable playing time as well

Might as well learn how to defend the paint properly with him, right? I mean, you can't just rely on his mobility and shotblocking to scare people off.

I'd like for him to sit until the break, I don't think he'll go for that. So I at least want him to rest until Brooklyn. We'll lose to Denver, but should be able to win or have keep it interesting against OKC, and Memphis between now and next Thursday.

Regarding AD's achilles tendonosis, FWIW, I've had the same problem before, and it was actually one of the more minor and treatable issues I've had, among the myriad of injuries I've sustained as a long distance runner. It's not that big a deal. Basically, when you've had tendonitis for long enough, the tendon starts to reshape itself, and this can lead to further damage and problems, since you're doing repetitive motion on an improperly shaped tendon. Once diagnosed, the prognosis is good, because you just need simple physical therapy that involves repetitive motions that reshape the tendon back into it's proper place. For me, it involved doing calf raises while making sure to keep my leg in a proper straight alignment. Simple as that, and I improved immediately.

With AD, it's a little more concerning because you have to wonder why his achilles tendon was getting malformed in the first place, and whether he can course correct and avoid having this problem resurface, without disrupting his game. But the most important thing is that this isn't any kind of major injury, and with proper PT, you can ameliorate it very quickly.

You're probably a stud though from being inspired by Kobe over the years and he's a wuss. :giggle: Fingers crossed.

WTF, team needs to overule AD here and sit him down. Just because Lebron is trying to go AC Green play streak in his old age doesn't mean you should

Well that was a pretty damn fine game from AD! A little rust at first but he shook that off quick. 35 and 9 on 60% shooting? Yeah that works.

I guess ( hope) the medical staff told him the injury can't get worse and/or cause an Achilles tear .

I don' know the context of both comments but going from " I rested because it's the Achilles , I have to be careful" to " I'm not trying to rest" in 24 hours seems weird

He should've been shut down 2 weeks. If he needs time off to rehab then so be it.

Normally highly reliable at the stripe but now just above average at 70% (?). Agree on his showing last night.

Well it's not like Davis sat out most of the season rehabbing and was not on a playoff (championship) team...

Yet .... here, yesterday or day before someone was bemoaning that our 36 year superstar was logging so many minutes, "while our 26 year old one in his prime was made of glass".
