Is this the same or opposite achilles that Matthews ruptured?

Thanks. That’s got to be a bit concerning to him .... doesn’t want to go there again.

seems like a very mature, quality guy. A perfect fit on this team, and hopefully for years to come. Effort, intelligence, preparation, mental game, well spoken.

Either him or JR Smith or Nick Young. It's a toss up in my book.

that's why it's good to have so many guards. imagine if wes was our only useful sg--we'd probably have to play him through soreness. instead, we get to keep him fresh and play THT more minutes.

He needs more than the 10-15 minutes he was getting earlier in the season. He's a legitimate rotational player. Unfortunately, Lakers are too deep so everyone is getting fewer minutes.

Does every 3 ptr of his look rushed? Feel he needs to take his time more: the shots are open but he's shooting them like they're contested

He does everything quick / fast. Most of time it's a good thing but yeah, not if you have the time.

No, not really. But Wes could start for change, that would help him for sure. Doesn't have to play a lot of minutes.

One good thing from an ego perspective with a Matthews Schroeder flip would be that would definitely not come off as your being benched because the other guy is better then you.

    Straight up fit

yeah, i think he's struggling as a bench player. again, i think they'll evaluate this after schroder's contract is settled. i'm guessing wes will get a shot with the starters, just out of respect.

With all due respect, Wes's game is such that he doesn't have anything to adjust. He shoots the open 3 and bothers wing players on defense. Schroeder is the more dynamic player: he scores in different ways, facilitates, defends... he can easily adjust to not starting. Wes is just warming the bench right now, when he could benefit from the attention Bron and AD command, plus the playmaking from Bron+Marc.

That's it in a nutshell, Karacha. Wes is a three and D guy and I would love to see him starting with Lebron, Marc Gasol and even AD to feed him in the corners. He and KCP would be really nice together.

But I guess if it ain't broke they won't fix it right now in terms of Schroder starting. Hopefully we get his extension signed sooner than later and then at some point we can try changing it up if Schroder doesn't pout too much.

one thing to consider is that wes can't guard pgs, so you're back to kcp doing that. which is fine except against the stars, whom i'd rather have someone quicker like schroder hounding. of course, you can alter the scheme such that you switch more aggressively, etc.

Great point. I think it will depend on matchups in the playoffs. Vogel has been great at that.

The problem is Wesley isn't getting enough opportunities. Taking 2-3 threes per game and having people call him bad every game is ridiculous. He's unselfish and does what the team needs. If it were up to me, I'd have Wesley start so he can blast off 5-6 threes per game with LeBron.

Yeah this is where Schroder’s stubbornness really hurts us. His best role is leader off the bench where he could do what he does best- score and pair up with Harrell who he has a better rapport with than any of the starters. But his ego won’t let him do that. He’s been bent on that starting role. Wes on the other hand is the consummate pro. He’s a second Gen player with over ten years in the league and he gets it. He is willing to sacrifice for the team. It’s too bad because the fit the other way around is so freaking obvious and superior to what we are doing. But it won’t be changed soon. Hopefully for the playoffs depending on matchups.
