That's hilarious. I'm imagining league reps negotiating with the Player's Association: "Okay fine, threesomes are okay. But foursomes?! That's just unsafe, we have to draw a line somewhere!"

    WTF is this guy doing?

So much talent to waste on his ignorance.

If I'm the Nets I'm pissed. He didn't want to play last year because KD wasn't ready. Ok, that's whatever. What's his excuse now? They have a good shot to come out of the East.

Way too many divas in this league who aren't worth the hassle.

Such an insult to guys who actually stand for something. Saw some speculation his “personal reasons” had to do with what happened at the Capitol last week, but now it’s abundantly clear he’s happy to hide behind the guise of social justice to do whatever he wants.

I also saw some people speculating that he was sitting out because he recognized that the NBA was not handling Covid properly, and so he wanted to avoid getting sick and also push the NBA to handle things more safely... what a joke lmao :D

If true, problem with that is out of sight, out of mind. It was a big reason the players stayed in the bubble, it was a platform they could use to say what they needed to say. By not playing, that becomes the story the media covers vs your message... whatever it may be.

Also if that's true, the bday party makes him a hypocrit. So he'll miss this week and then have to quarantine for 7-10 days? NBA needs to withhold those game checks. Maybe that'll get through to him. He makes close to $464k per game. If he's in quarantine from Monday on for 7-10 days, those 5-6 games would cost him $2.3m-$2.8m

Oh, well my takeaway is that this speculation was completely untrue and probably originated from Nets fans jumping through hoops trying to somehow defend their guy.

It really seems like dude just wanted to take a vacation few weeks into the season lmao. I wonder what KD is thinking.

He is a part-time coach a part time player and a full-time fruit loop he does what the f he wants.

This is his theme song and Irving probably has this playing in his head 24/7. (And by the way this is the "missing" Chapelle Rick James sketch that sadly Charlie Murphy and Dave never wrote or filmed sadly.)

Kyrie has turned into a total s*** Show. What a joke. Durant is the one who should be pissed. He did NOT want to play with Lebron because according to him, Lebron had too much BS going on around him. ?????? Helloooooo Durant!!! Is anyone in there??? Hell, KD, I would argue that you have more BS around YOU than Lebron almost ever has. He manages it way better than you do and you are now stuck with one of the biggest basket cases in the NBA. I see your career going down the tubes if you don't change something quick!

No. Maybe YOU shouldn't be playing. first you nearly get the bubble popped and now this. That's dangerous and reckless. Considering how we're having to postpone games, you have to hit someone as openly disobedient as this with a hefty suspension. Can't have him try to destroy this season too.

    Jeez...

And there were just reports today saying they thought he might be willing to stick it out the entire season. So much for that.

And then you get this nugget that shows how great the chemistry is there...

One more Harden observation, he's obese for NBA standards but those warm ups make him look 30 pounds heavier

Hopefully they trade Harden to some garbage fire where he can be a 30 PPG scorer getting bounced, from Walls comments he’s basically a cancer at this point.

Kyrie and Hill, should give back their paychecks for the season and then they can go be idiots wherever they want and deal with the backlash from it.

the s***ty thing is that he's doing all of this to land somewhere where he can ride coattails and get all the credit like he did when cp was there (cp was their mvp, obvious now and at the time).

i really hope they send him to purgatory. like orlando or something. feel like they probably have good strip club buffets.

Kick him out for the year!! A-hole.

I don't know what is needed in regards to covid, I'm not a doctor but I am high risk if I get it. My wife works at a major hospital. This might be 75% BS but that part really doesn't matter. This is all about the risks you are willing to take. We don't leave our home without a mask on, we don''t hang out with our friends at all. I have seen a couple of them very shortly, mostly in passing. It sucks but it's all about what the risks are worth to you. The league makes rules with the players association. They work together in collaboration. Players who want more risks can do so on their own, they should be removed. If they can't handle it all, they should be allowed to take time off and figure out what their priorities are. Avery Bradley chose that route. That being said, I don't think they should get paid past a certain point. Not sure where that point is but the league and players association can figure that out.
