Much improved three ball this year from AC Fresh. He's such a spark plug when he is in the game. I really miss his D when he's out.
AC would be a 12/6/6 player as a starting PG. He reminds me a lot of Jason Kidd. Unfortunately, too many players need the ball on this team so he's not getting the opportunities.
I'm fairly confident it'll happen well before then, probably in the next month or two. I'm glad Adam Silver is doing the right thing and not jumping the line.
He played some tough, tough defense today. Has 3 steals too. Bad shooting, but I am very pleased with his effort.
Edit: YouTube removed the embedded video. It was a clip of Caruso defending Boogie 1-on-1 and forced the turnover. What a guy!
again, just so great to have him back. the houston announcers were actually very respectful (humility is new for them), talking about how they'd like him on their team and how he singlehandedly ended one of their runs with pure hustle--they were crushed on that one, you could tell they were expecting to hit 8 threes in a row and take the lead, but the eagle beat everyone to a loose ball to fuel the runout. it was good to see him take the harden challenge, too. harden was really trying to clown him, and it didn't work.
I thought he was the player of the game outside LeBron. Lakers was slow and lethargic until Carushow came in. Even the little things in which he saw his teammate have trouble guarding Zion on the post and Caruso would sag off his man and try to swipe the ball out of Zion. KCP has got some competition here... Alex Caruso is shooting 54% from three this season. I keep saying he reminds me of Jason Kidd... He's good at rebounding, passing, defense, shooting, and has a high BBIQ. Lakers need to do whatever it takes to re-sign Caruso...
It's still a very small sample but to go from 33% last year to 54% is madness. He'll come back down to earth some but he's clearly been putting in the work.
You have to expect it to even out a little more for sure, but he’s clearly improved the shot somehow. It may even be as simple as that he has full confidence in it in real NBA games now, I don’t know. But him adding a consistent 3 point shot is something most of us here said if he added this “offseason” would take his game to another level. Some of the only knocks on his game you could make were he wasn’t a big threat from outside and his playmaking was just average. He seems to have corrected one of those things so far, and other teams are in real trouble now. If he can even just make the jump from 33% last year to like 37-38% that’d be huge.
