Almost every time he hits it, he looks at his teammates waving his hand like "they can't guard me". :LLLLLebronlaughing:

His newly released mid range J is awesome. They say he made or shot only 4 last year. Adds whole other dimension to his offense. I would imagine. Didn’t really watch him before.

Will be a good test tonight vs Nurkic and Kanter. Let's see what Montrezl can do

He will use his speed and hit more awkward "they can't guard me" hooks. ;)

He might be short for a "big" but his arms look like THT's... his wingspan is 7-4. No wonder he's effective.

Who would have thought that a 26 year old could add to his game/improve? It’s a novel concept I know, that a player not in their prime yet whose literal job is to practice basketball almost daily (if not actually daily) might get into the gym and add a mid range jumper. I guess the Clippers giving up on that sort of possibility is our gain.

I went from hating Trezz to loving his game quicker than any player ever.

Not only that but screw you Harden and Dan Tony that 3s are the only sensible analytical shot to shoot away from the hoop. Look what it does for the guys that can shoot them .... such as Shroeder and now Harrell. If handle's good and defender has to lunge forward because they stopped or backed up while keeping dribble alive then blow by them. What a concept. Dunks and layups are only 2 points too. Kobe Bean Bryant is smiling watching this team.

yeah, the moneyball approach to hoops forgot an important detail: some of the stars are REALLY good from midrange, and those become both a) good shots for them and b) really tough to defend.

dirk won a title because doubling at 20ft straight on is death for pretty much any team defensive philosophy. by all means, if you have s***ty top shelf talent, jack threes only. you might win a bunch of regular season games and a round in the playoffs. but being able to hit the shots defenses are geared to give up sort of ends things. ask kawhi.

Man I really don't like his fit with AD and Lebron in a finishing lineup

He doesn't space the floor and he's not included in any PnRs so you take away the best thing he can do on offense. Really prefer more spacing. Lakers struggled to score way too much against a mediocre defensive team in Portland and it's not like Harell is a difference maker on defense

    This x 1000

Harrell is a good energy player but he shouldn't see the court in closing lineups late in games

Don't know why Vogel stuck with it so long. The Lakers just kept bleeding out slowly with him in that lineup. If you don't want to play Gasol who was really good then put in a shooter

I wish Markieff was in there instead or ran Kuzma/AD/Bron.

Just terrible positioning: he's stuck in no man lands. Not contesting the roll man or the dribbler

Yeah I expect the first 20 some odd games for Vogel to use weird lineups but eventually sticking to what works more and more until playoff time.

I trust / HOPE Vogel and Handy and staff will teach this guy how to be a much better defender in the areas where he seems to suck?

he shouldn't be out there late in close games. i think we've seen enough of his defense the last few seasons to come to that conclusion

yeah, feel like it's clear that harrell's job is to pummel second units between the 6 minute marks in both halves. wonder if this is something we promised him to get him to sign (that he would get fair looks with the starters and in crunch time). but he's a bench player.

    and a damn good one.
