THT has now ascended to the Alex Caruso eagle's perch of being fan untradeable. He cannot be traded by popular opinion unless we are getting back a prime Tracy McGrady or some such nonsense.
Anyone who suggests trading THT should be immediately banned ***edit, I've got to start editing my Siri posts a little better. Yikes!***
Well he won't be Dr. Dunkenstein anytime soon, but imagine our portly boy leaping nearly 50" vertical like Darrel Griffith
I think he will have minutes. It's a shorter season. Minutes will be lower than usual for the stars, specially in the beginning. Randomly guys will sit out a game to catche a breath and don't tear anything. So I think rotation will be 11/12 guys long. For example, for these first games I would play THT more than Wes and Kuz more than Kieff.
I'm excited about THT but also have a cautious view of him. I want to see how he responds to adversity during the season because that will truly reveal what he is made of and if he can hang with the big boys. He has the talent, skills and physical body. But I want to see how he deals with foul trouble, limited playing team, injuries, few shot opportunities, refs, cold nights, poor shooting streaks, etc. There are hills and valleys that every player experiences in a season and THT won't be immune from that. His value is sky high right now and I hope all his heap and praise only motivates him to work harder.
So I‘ve changed my fantasy team 50 times today and finally everything hinges on - do I expect THT to play minutes right away. I am not sure. What do you ladies and gents expect tonight and the next few games? Can‘t wait to see him get some burn!
I hope he makes it impossible to not play him, but preseason means nothing. He might still be only flashes here and there in real games at 20 years old. I wouldn't bank on minutes myself. Our team is too deep. But if there are injuries, lots of resting, or positive COVID tests, then who knows.
Yeah with all things being equal, I just don't see where he can get a lot of minutes. Could depend on matchups though. Also if we have enough big leads, it wouldn't matter if Bron and AD scored 18 points a piece and just sat most of the game while we cruise to victory with THT getting 20-25 minutes those games.
I don't know how THT can produce with Lebron and Scroeder handling the ball all the time. He's going to have to step up as a slasher/catch and shoot guy. He's not going to get opportunities like he did in the preseason where he basically brings the ball up the floor and runs the show.
Not unless Lebron backs off being the main ball handler. Which he should consider and experiment with
it's hard to justify THT with the ball ahead of schroder or lebron. if kuz starts getting picked on defensively as a rule, i think THT will start getting all those minutes. if matthews doesn't stay in front of opposing guards, i think THT will get those minutes. but he'll probably have to wait for injury or roster churn to get real, consistent playmaking duties.
I agree, but every minute both of them are out of the game, I want THT as the lead guard. There was a stretch where both were out and AC was filling the lead guard role. It was not a productive few minutes. I love AC, but he is better suited for filling gaps rather than carrying the load.
