If you'd ask me that Alex Caruso looks like Lakers best player on the court even in garbage time 2 years ago and I would have been shocked. Yet here is he comes in and the guy just exudes confidence. He really is the not a****** version of Patrick Beverley
he's constantly in the right place on both ends. just plays with energy, focus, and intelligence. add in moderate skills and athleticism, and you've got good rotation player for a winning team. so many teams could use him. if he stays healthy all year, we'll have to pay him over MLE to keep him.
I think we have him, Kuzma, and THT as restricted free agents next year. we might have to stretch LeBron in order to keep all three LOL
OMG. Missed this somehow 3 days ago. This is DEFENSE focussed, not even touching on all the intelligent things he does on offense. And these plays are nothing short of spectacular! The timing and reflexes and accuracy with his hands. Remember Metta's hands in his prime how impressive and accurate. Reminds me. Just ....
Totally man. Caruso's just got a crazy good defensive instinct. He's one of those high IQ players that goes unnoticed but I'm sure he'll get his respect in due time.
Caruso has Bruce Bowen Part 2 written all over him. That is his ceiling. If that happens, the Lakers will have basically got a lottery pick skilled stud off the streets.

Have a feeling Caruso might get lost in the shuffle with THT rising and Schroeder the new guy around. Caruso/Bron had the best +/- 2 man combo the entire year hope he doesn't get squeezed.
It is interesting. IF, and that's a big if, THT continues this rise and ends up being this player, there will be a problem. We will have 6 guys who should legitimately be on the floor at the end of games: AD/LBJ/Caruso/Schroder/Harrell/THT. Someone is going to get squeezed.
