As I said before he's the one I most feared on the Clippers and celebrated his fall from grace in the playoffs but now Trezz is the one I'm most excited to see play
Great regular season player but I could see his minutes just taken up by Kieff and Kuzma in the playoffs just like McGee and Howard's minutes got eaten up. -Doesn't have 3 point range so not a floor spacer -Can't guard Jokic -Can he switch and guard and guys Leonard and George? If #3 is a yes then's he'll be helpful but if he can't it's going to be hard to play him big minutes against the top 2 contenders in the West
With his looong arms and athleticism and strength, I bet/hope Frank will make him a lot better defender for #3 than he has been and all around team and man to man defender.
yeah, i think dwight vs. jokic is fresh in our minds, but... 1. if marc gasol is healthy, i like him against jokic. 2. almost nobody else has a jokic. you need exactly one big bruiser in the modern nba. marc can be that for us. against a lot of matchups in the playoffs, we'll lean heavily on AD and trez for the bulk of the c minutes.
hmmm...can't say that i've seen jokic shy away from contact. i think dwight was just big enough not get bullied. but so is marc.
Brilliant having Montrezl in purple and gold. As @lakerjones said he is a walking double double. Some messy finishing, but he will tighten up on this, and love that he will take it to plodding bigs all day or bully any guards in his wake. Feel AD will be great to tidy up any messy finishes. Somebody complained about his body language, but I only saw that in regard to ref calls against us (norm for the NBA surely). He looked like he will go hard at the Clippers every game and we can thank Beverly for adding some fuel to the fire. Very hyped for this signing. We have lost a special kind of D from Howard, but feel Harrel is more mobile and much more of a scorer. Prefer Harrell over McGee and I was a big McGee supporter. Loved the steal and pressure he put on his Clipper replacement Ibaka the non-wookie.
