He's right. That's why there was zero drama out of the locker room this year. I have never seen anything like this. Not a peep. It's because there is a working conjuction with the main guys.

The Lakers got so much flack for overpaying Kobe the last 2 years in his career but what it did was set the stage for what came a few years later. Lakers may have not looked at it that way at the time, it was likely just making sure Kobe knew he was appreciated but look whats happened. Lakers are the big shot team that covers and works with its stars, and now the Lakers are on course to winning back to back titles and many more after.

Lebron's continued legacy finally has It's best set up. Time to cash it all in....

Of course. But I don’t believe his love for LeBron is true.

Is it possible to sign Giannis to a max without affecting the max status of Bron and AD?

Or if not, are there ways Rob can be creative with Bron opting out?

    For example:

    A) Stretch Bron's salary out long-term (give him some extra money as an incentive)
    B) Give Bron salary in latter years we know he won't play (LOL)

No. None of those can happen. They should follow what MLB has done

1+1. Both Bron and AD opt out after the season. Sign Giannis. Resign Bron and AD.

KCP's contract I think has factored in to stop that from happening

I just thought of something. Comments that haven't aged very well:

"We should trade LeBron James while we can get something in return"

"It's sad to think that LeBron James may never win another NBA championship again".

Just going by what I've heard: they opt out. Giannis signs max. Lakers sign their players to max deals.

People here much smarter on cap feel free to chime in.

If we repeat, it is an excellent dilemma to have: i.e. go for the greatest superteam ever that just needs to gel or keep Bron with a roster loaded with depth (which Rob would still try to improve anyway).

Giannis will never be taken serious if he came to LA with Lebron still at the height of his powers. I think Giannis stays in Milwaukee and signs the supermax.

It won't be long before Giannis gets the keys anyway.

I love how LeBron isn't even denying that he's basically a GM at this point as well, lol.
