I THINK it does, but not 100% sure. Marks is saying that after this move we could sign 3 veteran’s minimums and still be $1.3 million under the hard cap. Well I think $1.3 million is more then the difference between minimum and the 20% raise for Morris. So I THINK now we can give Morris essentially a 2 year/$6 million deal (which is still quite low TBH) and then have room for 2 more minimum contracts under the hard cap.

What's the deal with that guy? Is he still irritated Lebron went to the Lakers? Is he a Cavs fan?

Great move. Rob is teaching a master class right now.

Now if we can get a wing who can play D. Maybe a 3rd string C who's 7 foot and can block a little.

    Then BPA, after that.

We probably don't get Marc Gasol though if Dwight stayed...perspective.

Ehhh, I think Lakers chose Trezz over Howard but Howard was worried Philly was going to sign another center so he panicked and just signed with the Sixers. Lakers needed more time to move Javale and Dwight didn't wait. I think if Dwight had waited, he'd be a Lakers by now.

I'd look at: GR3, RHJ, Carroll, Korver for wing options. Try to nab two of them.

Bigs? Thon Maker should be cheap. Fits what I'm looking for there.

Helljumper is a smart, smart man.

I am all for bringing Kieff in now, he'd provide extra depth from 3 to 5.

Naw Pelinka is where the brains are at, I'm just trying to wrap my head around what this mad man is doing :D

This seems to be a better explanation from John Hollinger, which does confirm this gives us the flexibility to bring back Markieff:

Thanks for sharing this helpful explanation.

Rob is proving once again he knows what he's doing. I can't believe some of the stories that were plotted about him last year that he was clueless about the cap. Rob's the man

Hollinger having to break that down and essentially praise what our FO is doing is so satisfying.

All these from a man who doesn't know his way around the salary cap.
