He has a whole bunch of kids to take care of. I don't blame him for backing off the Lakers deal once he saw how the rest of the centers getting paid. Sucks it has to end in a bitter manner like this.
This is the most Dwight thing he could have done Disapointed a little, but I'm wondering if this is because the Lakers landed someone that would be taking his starting role
LOL oh Dwight, once a clown always a clown. Perfect way for him to go out. Thanks for the chip, but I feared one season was all he was capable of this sort of taking a backseat for the good of the team thing.
What is afoot here? Did we take back the deal? He took less money to leave and go play with a middle of the pack playoff team in the East.
I know this is probably some "I broke up with her, she didn't break up with me" attitude, but I'm okay with this. He's getting older so I don't know how much left he has in the tank, and I think his contributions to our playoff success were a bit overstated. He didn't even play in the Houston series, and most of the Denver series was more "antics" than actually locking up Jokic. It will also be nice not having to hear his Covid denying nonsense that he was spouting on his IG live sessions. Thank you for being a contributor on our title team and I have no ill wishes for you Dwight, but we'll be just fine without you.
If he truly took the minimum in Philly, this is quite strange. Does seem like something is in the works on our end then. But also, Bobby Marks doesn't know the cap, so I'll wait till I hear it from others lol.
Don't assume Dwight did something bad. I know the Lakers wanted him back but for Dwight to sign the vet minimum, something must have happened here. Maybe LeBron wanted Thompson and pushed for it... who knows. I still wish Dwight well. He helped us win the title so no complaints from me.
Sucks he had to leave this way but thanks Dwight for being a huge help to the Lakers winning a ring. Gotta tip my hat for that.
