KCP got paid $38 million the past three years by the Lakers. He's scoring under 10 PPG this season. I get that he stepped up but damn... LeBro - I mean, Rich Paul wants to get his clients paid but also want the best players on the team. KCP is going to have to get realistic here!
He's also just hitting his prime, is always one of the fastest guys on the floor, plays good to real good D and seems past his shooting woes. Rarely injured. I think he's got room to get even better. Just saying that. Not a fan of being stupid with too much over paying him either.
He has only two weaknesses: elicit and illicit , one is he elicits irrational hate from our fanbase if he has three bad games in a row. His second weakness. He fought the law and the law won. Commonly called litigious/criminal kryptonite.
Hopefully Atlanta is not going to get desperate and offer him some stupid deal like he's a potential star/missing link for them to make the playoffs
Let's hope ATL is going after Gallo/Rondo and they have no money leftover for KCP. We need this market to dry up for KCP and then we'll hold all the cards. KCP at $10M would be awesome.
With $43.5, they can get 3 guys. Plus Mavs are trying to net Gallo in a S&T. Hopefully they turn their sights back on Bogdan since the Kings trade fell through. But even with him at $18m (?), Rondo at $7-8m, they can still take KCP if they want him. Was hoping they'd take a guard in the draft to further deter them. They didn't.
I like Bogdon and KCP but man that is some terrible team-building right there: 43.5 million tied in 3 smallish guards around a really small Trae Young
hadn't seen that the mavs were chasing gallo. with what? thj? i'm actually surprised they're moving so much right now, as i thought they were closer to a top seed than their 7th place finish indicated last year.
Teams make lateral changes very often, just to see if they can get better chemistry etc. But yes, Seth did very well for them last season.
