Gotta give Lebron credit, don't like him but he carried the Cavs offensively this game. If Kyrie is out for the rest of the series then this is going to be a quick series. Lebron isn't going to shot as this well every game. Warriors are just too deep.
Bron had a great game but will the media blast him for taking 38 shots to get those 44pts? Of course not ,they will praise him. I'm not saying he should be criticized but the media likes to pick and choose when they blast guys for taking volume shots.
Only Bron, Kyrie and Moz scored in the 2nd half. If Kyrie is out for some games, Cavs can't keep up because...... GSW freakin' closes out and doesn't leave shooters open (I'm looking directly at you Chicago). Lebron 2s will not win them the series. Letting the rest of them go off from 3 is a recipe for disaster. Keep it up Dubs. Step on the throat next game. Got Lebron's best and still won.
The Kang had himself a nice game, but he came up EMPTY when it mattered. I don't think he has anywhere near the heart of Irving. That guy's the real soul of the Cavs. Kyrie's a true warrior. He played an amazing game considering how beat up he was. They don't stand a chance without him. But he's going to have himself a crazy great career ahead of him with or without Lebronze. He'll get more chances. Kyrie went down and all the air came out of that team. Lebronze did absolutely NOTHING for the entire OT. Weak. Just waiting to hear about cramps. NOTHING for the OT? He laid down and died.
Lebron was great, but whether Kyrie is healthy or not all the ISO ball will wear him down physically as this series goes on. Believe that.... Warriors.... what can I say they play more team ball and Curry was the player his team needed which was to stabilize the game when the team needed it.
I touched on this in my last post. No way the media will touch him. If it were Kobe on the other hand, or Westbrook, they'd no doubt get flak for taking that many shots. With that said, I had no issue with the amount of shots he took. Just the media hypocrisy that i cannot stand.
Yep. Agreed, and the glaring thing was that he came up empty in OT when it mattered. He should get called out for that at least. Because that determined the outcome of the game.
"Oh but he had to take that many shots because his team wasn't doing much to help him." - ESPN reporters. Iggy played really well for Warriors in the 2nd half, good defense down the stretch and good playmaking as well.
He looked like a different guy an OT. I'm not sure if his legs were dead, but he was invisible, no doubt. Good talk here tonight guys, I haven't been active much, life has kind of gotten in the way. I've forgotten just how awesome this community is!
Dubs making LeBron a volume scorer and banking on him wearing out as the game goes on. Worked tonight.
James kept his team from falling behind...but too much of a burden even as talented as he is. Not to be an apologist BUT he has Smith and Shumpert on his squad. Not the types to keep defenses honest even if they hit some shots. Irving played well until that unfortunate spill. Injuries are part of the game and a series... I have to pity them considering what I witnessed in The Finals 1983, 1989, 1991 and 2004.
Ufff, that was a close one. Had to stop watching at 73-73. If Kyrie is out, they have to contend JR and let Bron do everything like tonight. Save the NBA for me Dubs, plleeeeaseee.
Amen. A fully healthy Irving, Love, Sideshow Bob would be of help to keep James from doing it all. Amusing how the ABC announcing team compare him to Magic Johnson when it came to carrying a team. Maybe so but I have yet to see James pull a masterpiece like Game 6 of the 1980 Finals against Philadelphia. They talked of how the Warriors faced teams with injured point guards. Well, how about Chicago without Gasol? Atlanta sans Carroll and Korver. Both teams were not mentally tough to begin with.
