In the finals he played as if the consequences of losing meant he went back to jail

I feel like there’s a story there somewhere

I guess KCP on a 3-year 33M deal wouldn't make me cringe, and he'd be relatively easy to move in a deal but we gotta make sure that he doesn't have that no trade clause BS in his contract again.

Would not shock me if it ends up 3 years / 45M, but I agree with you about dodging a no trade clause.

Nice stroke, but I wonder why he is drilling a two step walk in after the pass. Most game shots for him are catch and shoot.

:Magicwow4: ..... 15 in a row and 10 or 11 nothing but net, and the others close to that.

bragging about being in the gym til 11 PM? That just means you were lazy all day and didn't get to the gym til after 9PM if we're being honest.

act like an evening shooting session mean anything to your free agency value lol

Also: it's coming out that he was in the gym at 4PM, and KCP paid him extra to say that on social media. It's all about perception. hahahahahaahahah jk.

I think with the Schroder trade we will do our best to keep KCP. With Bird's rights he won't count against the cap. I believe we reward him with a raise. He played well as a starter and he's still young. I guess it depends on who else out there wants him. Maybe I'm naive but I don't see a huge market for him. I think we pay him a bit more, like 12 million a year and keep him.

KCP will stay and get Danny Green money since he played the role DG was supposed to play in the playoffs ...

He's going to get paid by the Lakers.

They probably already have a deal in place.

still think he kinda owes us. though much of it was paid with his play in the playoffs.

anyway, my hope is we can get him to take bigger money for two years. maybe enough to trump any 4 year MLE deal? seems like a win/win to me. he'd be the starting sg for the league's flagship franchise.

but i guess he could be booker's backup in phx for slightly more cash.

The next CBA is going to squeeze mid and low level guys. They can get their payday while they can, i dont blame them for opting out

Suns are showing interest in everybody. These guys are just bored and trying to pretend they care about helping Booker. As for KCP, losing him would be a huge hit but man, this guy was already treated well by the Lakers. That's the one bad part about having LeBron on your team. Rich Paul is going to squeeze the team for as much money as possible for his clients and if the team doesn't succumb to it, they get an angry LeBron. Then when the team is stuck and can't make any moves, aka when Cavs were stuck with J.R. Smith and Thompson's contract, LeBron just pretends he had nothing to do with it and signs with another team. Love LeBron and Rich Paul for what they did for the Lakers and getting AD but c'mon, you can't try and blackball a franchise like this.

Bracing myself for him signing with us. Too many years, too much money. It'll show us who has the upper hand -- Rich Paul or Rob Pelinka.

There goes one of his supposed suitors. No way he gets an offer from the Suns now. They will need a PF since they traded Oubre. CP3 trade helps us in this regard. I am still highly skeptical that he will get offers much higher than we were paying him at 8.5 million per year. Again, we will see what his market value actually is and we can match or exceed it if need be.
