    I'm torn about this thread. On one hand they deserve this since they talked so much crap. On the other hand they don't deserve this thread because it actually insinuates they are somehow a "rival" of the Lakers. This team is not a rival. We've never played them in the playoffs. When they do make it to the playoffs they are quickly dispatched. We don't consider the Grizzlies or Timberwolves rivals, yet they have better showings against us and traveled deeper into the playoffs. Is it because they are in LA? It's not like they have any fans in LA. Making fun of Clipper fans is essentially like making fun of the social outcasts who tried to throw a party directly across the street from the largest fraternity house on the same day they are having a massive blowout. It's just a waste of time to poke fun at a fan base that is so sad. How can we hurt them any more than their sorry franchise has already hurt them? They are completely beneath us and talking trash on them gives them validity, which is something they have none of by their own work. Their only validation comes in the form of sharing a building with a larger franchise so people need to talk about their pathetic nature.

    I think if they hadn’t talked trash first (Street lights was over spotlights, Kawhi’s crown commercial etc.) then we wouldn’t be giving them as much grief as they are getting. For me at least, it’s been building since lob city. They still never got out of the second round but acted like they were the big dog. Some of it has to do with the press and the nonstop ogling that they were doing too but the Clippers certainly did their own crowing. So they get what they deserve.

    Clippers deserve all the smoke. I feel bad for real Clippers fans - but the media and the Clipppers who hyped themselves? Nope. Don't feel bad for them.

    Maybe a little bit of humble pie will be good for the Clippers.

    Ill admit, it was pretty gangster what Kawhi and the Clippers did. Strength yourself while making your enemy weak. Very Sun Tzu move on the Clippers part last year.

    However, make sure when you get the right lieutenant next time

    They have it coming.

    They became obnoxious and arrogant, even though they haven't accomplished a damn thing. Our real rivals, the Spurs and the team that cannot be named have actually accomplished stuff. These guys and their fans were preening and running their mouths even though they've done nothing.

    They weren't always this obnoxious. I didn't always hate flop city and their fanbase. I used to actually like watching the Ron Harper/Danny Manning/Mark Jackson Clipper teams with Ralph Lawler and Bill Walton hilariously calling the games. I liked watching the Darius Miles/Lamar Odom/Q Rich teams and then the Ben Davis/Elton Brand/Corey Maggette teams.

    But then we found out that the owner was the scumbag to end all scumbags. The coach from that team over there joins flop city, bring that odious New England stench with him. Mob boss Stern conspires to screw us over and hands Chris Paul over to them on a silver platter. Flop City's preening in spite of their playoff failures was beyond annoying, and the annoying-ness reached new heights this year after load manager and pre-season P join up, and talentless clown Ezell from Friday starts running his mouth. Their fanbase became more annoying and had the nerve to talk trash to us even though they've done nothing.

    So yeah give them all the smoke. They deserve failure and insignificance for eternity. I didn't always hate Flop City but I hate them now. Good riddance and get the F out of LA. We don't want you here.
