    I’ve been trying to avoid talking too much crap on the Clippers for their choke job so that I wouldn’t jinx anything for the Lakers. But now that it’s over...

    The Clippers are TRASH. Worst franchise in sports trying to take on the best franchise in sports? They should’ve seen this coming. They will perpetually manage to screw things up. STAY IN YO LANE!

    everything went the clippers way in the 2010s

    -griffin became the star he was expected to be
    -league kills the cp3 to lakers deal and instead he becomes a clipper
    -sterling gone and in comes ballmer with his endless wallet
    -acquire kawhi and PG and form a ridiculously stacked team around them
    -playoff contender every season

    and at the end, the lakers won another title before the clippers won one

    I'll never forget that feeling... waking up (yes, I eventually passed out hitting refresh that Friday night) to the news that kawhi had chosen to team up with PG on the clippers... it stung a little, but we assembled the best crew possible and trudged forward with the season... and, boy, did we get the last laugh... last night's win really "closed the loop" on that feeling of getting burned by kawhi... the dichotomy of the two organizations over the course of the past month, the very different paths we have taken...

    we had our own agenda and goals, kept our heads down the entire time, and didn't worry about anyone else... but recalling the endless prognostication and praise of the clippers all year long, I can't help but relish this storybook ending.
