What a journey and a way to rewrite his book, to change the narrative. He was perfect in this unexpected role and I hope he wants to come back and try to get more hardware to strengthen his HOF case.
Dwight brought the energy. He brought the passion. He brought the fire. He left the attitude. He left the diva mentality. He did let other players get him a bit, as stu Lance would say, OC but I got nothing but love for what this dude did this year.
Bron lost against Dwight when they were young and realized: “if you can’t beat him, join him”. Or something like that, LOL.
Has he another season with a such perfect attitude in him though ? I hope we don't overpay for him as he's mainly useful in the regular season with AD playing the 5 in the playoffs. I can see the Mavs offering him a good contract , they sure need his physicality inside
Dwight and Javale were huge for the regular season and allowed AD to not have to battle the bigs. My only concern is whether the Lakers will also sign Cousins. My belief is that they will. Imagine Bron resting and we have Cousins+AD for our offense... I'll take that.
Cousins is done folks. His lateral movement was never good and this team made its money on defense. Lakers need to focus on a 3rd star and snipers.
Who remembers this: LeBron not shaking Dwight's hand (on the court) after that series lead to media ripping LeBron all offseason about it.
