This guy is trash. I really hope some team is looking for a $15 mil expiring contract this “offseason”, I don’t want to see him on the roster next season.
I’m at the point where if green makes a shot I consider it found money. Those don’t come around very often.
God damn he was so freaking open. I mean the Heat might have been on the other side of half court. Paxson and Kerr's jumpers in the Finals were nearly as open as this one
Just in case you needed a visual of how open this piece of s*** was... McGee would've made THAT open of a 3. And that's why we f***ing signed you and overpaid your sorry a**. Be gone.
He might be a decent rotational player off the bench, but at this stage of his career he has no business starting on an NBA team anymore. We must find a starter in his place in the offseason.
Him being that open is proof as to why he shouldn't be in the game. When the other team can't be bothered to be within 15 feet of you, it means they know you have no chance of hitting the shot. You leave Shaq that open at the three point line, not a shooting guard.
Danny Green has the ball! Wide open on an island with not a defender in sight! Nope. Damn it Danny Green like manna from Hell.
I almost wonder if at this point you have to move past the sunk cost fallacy and give him a “DNP-CD” in Game 6. It’s not an excuse, but the toll on someone’s mental health after being in a funk already and then missing THAT shot has got to be huge. I don’t trust that he can bounce back from it. He’s going to be in his head, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw some terrible Paul George-esque bricks from him if he’s out there. His teammates have got to have lost trust in him. But the unfortunate reality is that I’m not sure if we can afford to bench him. Defensively, we need him out there chasing Miami’s shooters. If you bench him entirely, the backcourt depth just isn’t there. Especially when Rondo and Caruso aren’t making an impact. JR is not ready for this. If Dion had been healthy and in more rhythm, might have been a good time to give him some extra burn. But I think he’s still dealing with a groin injury?
Yes I absolutely hate that he missed the shot, but I don't fault him for that one. DG didn't play the whole 4th (did Vogel even make a sub that qtr?) and then his first touch was supposed to be the game winner. That flat out sounds difficult. LeBron collapsed the defense and he pulled the trigger. It worked, the ball just didn't go in. Tough break. But assessing his whole game performance - that's another story. Initial thoughts are not good. I'll have to go back and watch it because I was way too anxious during this one.
He actually wasn't bad last night. Already had hit 2 threes...wasn't like he was 0/6 and about to take the biggest shot of his career.
