I think he’s got one more 30 plus point game in him to close this out. He’s got an extra day of rest.

Yeah I had a flashback of Lamar(?) rolling into Bynum’s knee when it was planted like AD’s tonight and hyper extending it. That’s why he stayed down awhile I thought at the time.

What more can you say about LeBron and this kid? The 2nd half, LeBron had 20 and 9 and AD, as the primary defender held Miami to 1-8 shooting. Beautiful defensive display by AD.

I think he puts up a monster game to close it out, sealing the deal on Finals MVP.

LeBron with 4 Finals MVP's, 3 of them being on three different teams would be too difficult for AD to overcome.

2008. And AD always falls, so I wasn't worried. The next play was an alley oop. I think he got hit in the nuts. That's why he stayed down.

AD did what the DPOY wouldn't do, he guarded Butler most of the game and took away what led to Butler having an amazing Game 3.

weird because giannis could do the same to butler, in theory (keep him out of the paint and shooting long jumpers off the dribble).

i wonder if budenholzer survives the offseason, particularly if the lakers finish miami in 5.

I was just thinking about this...Giannis didn't even try to guard Butler even once in their series....it's still so ridiculous that he got DPOY over AD

I hope AD has a huge game 5 but I think LeBron is going to be that guy and I don't mind it...I just hope that AD can share the MVP with LeBron...he's been that good on both ends.

I love how the media fell in love with Giannis's stats and don't even take into account all the holes in his game that teams don't bother exploiting in the regular season but come playoffs, it's a huge problem in his game. AD should have won DPOY because he defends all positions, defends the pick-and-roll better than any player, and is the last line of defense for the Lakers. Giannis isn't doing what AD is doing. It's funny how last year, we saw Giannis get destroyed by Toronto's defense which exposed his lack of scoring range. This year, it's the same problem. Next year, they will fall in love with Giannis's stat-stuffing numbers and give him MVP while he disappoints in the playoffs again.

One good thing for AD is this Playoff run and his defense has been amazing, so I'm sure DPOTY voters next year could sway more in his favor.

they've shared billing thus far, imo. lebron's had fewer stinkers but fewer monsters, too. i do think AD is the reason we've stifled some of the league's best offenses over and over, though.
