So... you know what... I think his 3pt% is now around 37% in the playoffs. Which means, without those two awful games against Portland, he must be shooting over 40% now. I think he's coming back, slowly, but surely. For some crazy reason, I think he is going to hit some big shots for us in the games to come. No joke.
Honestly, for me at this point is more about not taking shots that others can hit. As a team, we're firing pretty well from deep right now. If he hits 1 or 2 and then resists the temptation on the other three, instead drives or kicks, I'm good. Best thing he can do between now and the end of this ring run is keep Butler from going off next round (getting ahead of myself, just don't see Boston making it with the locker room argument and GH not playing or at 100% when he returns) . Size wise, that should be his most useful matchup for us this post season.
I agree. He also showed that he can take it inside and hit the floater. But only when he does it with purpose. Sometimes he does it after pump faking a 3 and looks surprised that he now finds himself in this position, and shoots it almost randomly. But he is tall enough and long enough to easily use this 2-3 times a game. Hit a couple threes with this and we're good. I do agree that his defense is more important for us in winning the championship.
Serious question, what does Green contribute out there? Outside of his (supposedly) 3pt shooting, he has zero basketball skills. Offensively, he just stands there 95% of the time. He can't dribble (terrible ball handling for a guard), can't create, can't drive, doesnt create deflections, average defense at best. Guys like Caruso, while he cant shoot, does a ton of positive things for us on the floor. Green does nothing.
He looks washed. Very slow on his rotations, not a great 1v1 defender, and he's not able to do anything when he's in dangerous positions on offense
Played way too many minutes when Denver was making their run. Guy can’t shoot, defend or handle the ball. Might as well be a traffic cone out there.
Damn it Danny Green you have one purpose out there. Too make KCP look like a basketball immortal in comparison. Reflexes of a sloth, always moving to some wrong tangent on D, always fouling. Your basketball handles are like chocolate handles on a tea kettle, like you have never touched a basketball before. You are playing like a vet, but unfortunately like one with PTSD. You are shook. You are last weeks bologna. I hope they send you to Brooklyn for Dinwiddie.
He flat out sucks. 1 for 4, a nice 25% shooting night when we struggled offensively. Man, he's pretty useless.
He's the worst guard on the team, including the coaching staff. I can pray that he only has 1 month left as a Laker.
It is good news right ? Danny Green has an injury to the ring finger of left hand. will be listed as probable, Vogel says.
