    Barkley is a clown with his takes at times, but make no mistake, him having no rings is just bad luck in that his prime lined up perfectly with Jordan's. Barkley was an absolute beast and should have rings if not for MJ. Heck, that 93 Finals was a lot closer than people remember.

    Of course Barkley was a Beast in his Day. Doesn't mean there's any credibility to anything he says.
    Regardless of who he played 2nd fiddle to in his Day, he still has no rings & Shaq reminds him of that constantly.
    It wasn't just Jordan. Barkley couldn't get it done when he came West either.

    "Portland will Sweep the Lakers". "AD is not a killer"... He's getting paid to say this garbage.

    Not sure of its origin or if it predates his Laker days, but I was introduced to it by AD this post season and don't fact check me, but I think Bron has picked up on it from AD and used it a little himself.

    Barkley can be incoherent and most often his takes are just flat out garbage. But I have to admit I wasn't offended at all by what he said at half time other than the comparison to Derrick Coleman whose name should never be used in a sentence with AD. He talked about what we ourselves discussed (and Barkley asked him about it straight up it seems post-game): sometimes AD is just way too passive offensively considering how great a player he is. There were head scratching moments in the bubble with AD where he just didn't assert himself.

    However, as often times occurs with Barkley, he brought this take up only to be totally destroyed at the end with the clutch dagger and Mamba mentality from AD. It's like as soon as Barkley opens his mouth he gets proven wrong. I guess that's part of his entertainment value though. Someone's got to play the fool.

    I know it doesn't mean he has credibility, but I think brining up the rings thing is irrelevant to him being an idiot. During Jordan's prime (minus baseball) the only way you could win a ring, is to be on Jordan's team.

    I told you guys our players were mostly using the seeding games to get back in shape and it was a great chance for our coach to try different rotations, play bench players and generally play possum until the playoffs. :)
