Yeah, Kidd will leave for sure, which is perfectly fine with me. He did well for us this year, no drama, and he really wants the HC job. Vogel is the guy for us. He's not the best coach in the league necessarily , but his kind of traditional basketball focusing on defense works for our team and is fun to watch. He needs an offensive specialist once Kidd leaves and we'll be in great shape. I like his calm demeanor, reminds me of Phil in that respect. I don't like coaches who constantly yell at everyone. Be intense when necessary and that's it. Let your veterans lead the team on the court.
I used to really miss when Phil Jackson would yell at the ref or one of his players. It was great entertainment because you knew that ref or player really jacked up if he stood up and yelled at you. His walk made it even better.
Lead down to 17 and called a time-out to still the small Denver momentum in the bud... Drove home the point that Denver is a second half team which the squad took to heart.
Vogel with some brilliant lineups tonight. He's not f***ing around with McGee either. After McGee failed to rotate onto Milsap who drilled a wide open 3, didn't see the court after that. That Howard/Morris/Caruso/Lebron/Green lineup really turned the game around in the second quarter and the Lakers never really looked back
I thought McGee was nursing something. Did see that blown coverage. Milsap had time to set his feet, gather for the shot. He'll be fine for Game 2. This is not Washington McGee but a more seasoned, mature one. Was cheering on Howard on the bench.
Big of you. Good thing your grandkid and your son aren’t here to harass Frank and make him lose his cool.
It's crazy that Frank Vogel had a lot of success with PG leading the Pacers and now he's coaching Bron and AD. You have to wonder just how much he thinks to himself, 'Damn, Bron and AD are just on a different level.'
Vogel was very good in Indiana but he didn't seem to get the most of that Magic team. They got Clifford and they immediately got better: I don't know about enough about that Magic stint for him but I think this is similar to what he did in Indiana.
Coach who maintains his composure...does not lose it in tight moments. He was giving everyone good vibes telling them they are all shot makers even Danny Green.
I didn't like the Caruso/Rondo/Kuzma/LBJ/Morris lineup. This lineup couldn't defend squat to start the 2nd. We MUST defend, we need the transition buckets to stay in the game. Our half court offense is not good enough to trade possessions.
