Disgusting. I think as a rule we judge players on their merits and adjust that with the salary, role (captain, starting point guard, three point specialist) and how they act. As we want to win the championship our expectations are high and so are our rewards (win a championship and we will respect you/revere you forever). As $15 million dollars of our Deng stretched cap Danny Green holds a lot of space. It was understood that he would be a starter, a shooter, a solid vet and part of our defense. Green has provided unreliable production, ponderously slow or unhelpful defense (fouling three point shooters, fouling when he tries to cope with bad positioning) and seems more about media opportunities rather than veteran leadership. Damn it Danny Green quite frankly you would risk being booed if we had a live crowd now. We have been patient. Now is the time to shine in the pressure of the spotlight, not to question fans. Howard is a good example of how we have forgiven and supported a player and like what has been provided within the balance of what he costs and what he has given. Our window is finite don't make us defenestrate you for an entitled attitude and so-so performance.

Otherwise I look at a team with space and see if they're willing to eat good contact with us including a couple 2nd rounders. We'll have no problem getting another wing who can contribute. We're contenders, we can get a vet for the min. If Bron will make a call, we can have Melo.
The better debate right now is how much better is Green than JR? That's the only non big getting minutes right now that's he's better than, but the gap isn't far off. Only benefit Green has is the reputation that he could hit shots once upon a time, so D respects that a little more. But contextually, one makes the minimum and has been out of the league for 2 years. One makes $15m and was just in the finals.
I say give J.R. his minutes... Danny Green is a waste of money. So unfortunate it has come to this because we were all rooting for him. $15 million to basically run up the floor and miss threes/layups. I'd rather have Luol Deng at this point.
I still feel like he’s got some big threes left in him. He hit some big ones in close games this season. But yes, he’s been bad to awful so far, so I’m really just trying to stay optimistic.

Almost at the point where I feel we inject him with Rabies and send him out to Artest the best player on the opposition team. Make him the crabs in Harden's beard, the fuscia sombrero in Westbrook's wardrobe, the calcifier of Kawhi, the John and Ringo to Paul George.
