You're constantly attacking him on the live-chat expecting him to be Klay Thompson or something. J.R. hadn't played a single game for nearly two years. The Lakers signed him after realizing that they were short on 3/D players - especially since Avery chose not to return. Dion Waiters is the only other option and that guy is a ballhogger who doesn't pass the ball so how do you expect to integrate Waiters into a system in which he's not a good off-ball player and dribbles the air out of the ball? J.R. Smith is only there to provide 8-10 minutes so KCP and Danny Green can get a rest. He doesn't even play enough to where he has a significant negative effect in the game. No one had any expectations for him other than as a backup player. You sound spoiled right now. J.R. Smith is literally the 10th player on our rotation getting garbage minutes while guys like Paul George gets paid max dollars and sucks but yet, you love to pick on J.R. Smith. Turn your expectations down low for him and you won't be complaining as much. With the market having very few players, there weren't many good options outside of J.R. Smith.
Dion doesnt pass? you must not be watching and fouling 3pt shooters, running all the way out of bounds are considered NEGATIVE impact and I dont give an F about PG, is he a laker?
My point with PG was to show that every team has an underperformer. J.R. happens to be our underperformer and at the same time, a very small part of our team. We should be thankful that our guys like Kuzma, Caruso, KCP, AD, and LeBron are playing incredibly well instead of complaining consistently about a meaningless rotational player. But I won't stop you. Keep complaining about J.R. No point in dragging this further with you.
praise n complaints are part of every fans DNA, jr is trash n h does trash like things with very little upside...thats just my observation n most others see it as well
my dad and i were discussing this the other day. i feel like he's improved more there than i ever expected. his off-the-dribble game has also advance more than i thought. he's still an inconsistent shooter, but he does a lot of good things out there.
I feel like offensively, he looks worse than the numbers show but he missed so many easy shots that should have been automatic buckets. But if Kuzma can give us this new and improved defense, I'll take it.
Good game. Nice D, shot very well. Works great in that lineup. More Kuz and Morris, please. He still can't pass that well, but hey... can't have everything.
Very nice game indeed from Kuz - 6 for 7 shooting plus 6 boards a block and a steal. He should be getting more minutes.
180 degree turnaround from game 1. Didn't settle for shots. Looked to be aggressive and engaged on both sides. Cut to the hoop, got stops... even a swat, active on the glass.
Nice energy with 14 points. Good energy. Didn't think that chase down was salvageable, but he ran as hard as he could and got us the ball. Needs to start the 2nd half at the very least in game 4.
4th best Laker in the game, but we still don’t win this without his contributions on offense and defense tonight. 14 on 7/10, +7 tonight
I love Kuz. I'm so hoping he keeps getting better. I want him to be the Michael Cooper of this era for the Lakers.
To me, trying to turn Kuz into a shooter doesn't work. He works best as a cutter and getting putbacks hustling for rebounds.
