    I posted somewhere he's a souped up Pau Gasol. Not too far off IMHO. Both are soft and can be completely taken out of games. They have to be reminded to be aggressive.

    It's a bit concerning. We have no definitive 3rd best player, and one of our top two isn't a great creator for himself, happy to defer to others in crunch time, and is aging. The other is soft half of the time.

    I'd say I seriously doubt we are favorites, and a great coach would love to game plan against our weaknesses. We are highly vulnerable.

    So, if Pau was the 2nd best player on a back to back championship team, and AD is our 2nd best player, and AD is Pau souped up, then you're saying we're gonna win the next two trophies.

    Yeah, I guess it all depends on which version of souped up Pau we are talking about. Souped up NBA Championship and Gold Medal Spain Pau would be insane. And in some ways Anthony Davis, especially when he's really on, pretty much is that Pau. That's a good thing. Anthony Davis' defense plus his scoring ability put him in the truly elite class.

    But yeah, the passive AD version I saw on display against the Raptors reminded me of Broken Pau from the year we lost to Dallas. Totally disengaged on offense when double teamed and looking soft all around. That does worry me as well.

    Luckily that was the only time I've ever seen AD like that. AD against the Clippers, our most likely WCF competition looked pretty unstoppable. I am concerned about the Raptors though. They play us extremely well. They are very well coached. And they don't fear us as they have a bit of that championship swagger. And Danny Green seems to disappear against his old team. I'd rather play the Bucks.

    One thing that bugged me early on is that he can look so dominant against inferior competition, and follow it up with a disappearing act. It seems like there are times that his presence is completely unnoticeable except on defense.

    And I’m disturbed how he crumples to the ground with minor contact when he’s in the paint. it’s like an injury waiting to happen to his injury prone body.

    Once you show fans what you are capable of, they want it every night. He doesn’t bring it every night on both sides of the floor. But if he did, with there be any dissatisfied fans?

    and people may not like Colin cowherd, but he’s not wrong when he says Anthony Davis has no dog in him
