Someone on twitter maybe unwrittenrules? pointed out that going against Lebron and AD in practice probably has helped him on defense. Plus since they're both good defenders they can give additional pointers on how to play defense against guys like Kawhii.
Kuzma's defense looks real. He totally turned off Siakam. Impressive back to back performances against two All-NBA forward caliber players. The Lakers shooting is a mess but it's a good sign that between Lebron and Kuzma looks like the Lakers will be able to match up well against multiple NBA wings
Liked his play again tonight. Definitely agree that his defensive improvement looks legit. Kid is pulling it altogether.
I like how he's playing. Just would avoid the one on one creating off the dribble plays for him: he's just not very good at that
He was solid again tonight in the win. He's really showing us something on both ends. This is the Kuz we've been waiting for. Stepping up into that third guy role.
Kuz has been our most consistent player since the restart. Another excellent game for him on both ends.
Kuz says D has been his only focus this season: https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...-only-focus-nba-orlando-bubble-shooting-stats
Kuz being a consistent threat for us is a great sign. Well designed play to get Kuz a great look. Props to coach and Kuz.
Kuz got the start and played great. He’s getting more and more confident playing on the floor with Lebron and AD.
