THT is barely NBA material right now. He has no business on a championship roster playing 3 mpg. I think he is a year away from being a year away.
What are you seeing that gives you that impression? I'm not watching full games, but the highlights I watch indicate he could at least be as effective as Dudley or Daniels right now.
He is a highlight reel for sure. Explosive and bouncy. I haven't watched him a ton, so maybe I'm wrong. I think the fundamentals are most likely still raw. It starts with his body. He doesn't really look like a pro athlete, yet.
This is THT's G-League stats in case you guys were interested... https://gleague.nba.com/player/talen-horton-tucker/ I have not watched him play other than some YouTubing. He's a great athlete but it's too late to play a rookie when we're heading into the final month until the playoffs.
Yeah, those aren’t “you have to call this guy up” numbers. I like his potential as much as others do, but he’s at least a year away if not more.
Here are Kostas. https://gleague.nba.com/player/kostas-antetokounmpo/ Nice numbers. Other than that, I haven't seen more than a couple of videos on him. It seems like he can eventually make it into an NBA roster. Giannis's game took on a whole other level when he bulked up 15 lbs and just started ragdolling everyone. I wonder if Kostas can do that to a lesser extent.
I'm glad there is a minor league for these guys to get reps and develop. Before if they didn't make a roster after the draft, they were pretty hosed.
yeah, b-leagues in europe sometimes forget to pay you. you gotta love it. or have zero other options.
I watched the G-league replay, and THT has lost the fat. He has a place in the nba if he can stay focused.
I hope THT can practice with the varsity team during this downtime. Every time I see him play, like last night, I want to see more of him, but against better competition.
Ahhh .... so they did play last night. Maybe they don't care about the G-Leaguers. Nah. I bet their games are shut down after that too.
One league at a time, professional, semi-pro, and college all seem to be following suit. It's just prudent. The implications of being sued later if you were the one holdout when other leagues "responsibly shut down" is not something they would recover from. I just watched people getting their foreheads scanned before being let into a restaurant. And then be asked to use hand sanitizer before ordering. Interesting times. I'm likely stuck in the Philippines for several months to come. Manila is shutting down inter-island traffic, and flights are being cancelled for preventative measures even though there are low number of cases here. I'll just hang out with @KareemtheGreat33 and make TikTok videos or something. udleyshrug:
Hey you might want to hold out on going to Mambukal or Campuestohan for the time being and @KareemtheGreat33's place might be the best option. My wife is from over there and the locals love their swimming, rain or shine. I was hoping to not let her and my kid travel indefinitely but I had to buy airline tickets ASAP to save money. No worries anyways because we could cancel and re-book them for future flights, and its understandable in my point of view for them not to refund tickets altogether. Keep safe, migos!
