I think that you are right. His drives to the basket are just extremely weak. He can't even finish when you cough at him.

That's why there are a gazillion YouTube videos showing him get embarrassed at the rim.

He is so afraid that he sometimes even rushes and airballs layups just to avoid contact.

not that i remember. BI has had nothing but kind words for the lakers since getting dealt. although i wonder if there's something between him and lebron we don't know about which led to lebron picking tatum over him at the ASG draft

on the other hand, lonzo hasn't said much at all since being dealt and hart has just been extremely salty

Maybe. Just cause I know I'm not infallible as some think they are. But I think I remember a couple comments about a tweet BI did which seemed to say something about LBJ having a lot of knowledge of the behind the scenes background to the trade. It was a short lived conversation.

OK went back and found it. Seems like it had a bit of an edge to it? Or nothing at all. Anyway it was noted Lebron didn't "Bro" embrace him after the game Tuesday night like he did Lonzo.

Incredibly narrow ditches. More like trenches, or even furrows.

No, he did say that. Or at least I recall reading a Tweet to that effect.

Lonzo with two back to back games of 25 and 26 points.

His 3 point shooting is up to 38% for the year.

They just lost two crucial games... but I think he's starting to reach his potential.

So sad for us. If only we had kept one of them.

We'll find out who's right in about two playoff series... meanwhile we need to beat the Bucks, Houston, and the Clippers

    nope. already found out.

i think what's amazing is that lonzo has been playing 40 minutes and hasn't missed a month in a while.

Lonzo is playing great but he would have never gotten these same opportunities on a roster with Bron, Caruso, Ingram, Kuzma, and KCP. In fact, Caruso would have never been this Caruso. The trade was fair and even for both sides but we needed a championship piece alongside Bron who we can trust. I don't know why there is still a discussion about that.

With three allegedly legendary talents, they got beaten by the Wolves without KAT.

Why do you guys always try to manage the topics of discussion?

Especially in the Lonzo Ball thread.

He's made somewhat of a breakthrough... early days, but completely natural to comment about it.

This is a basketball forum. There are only so many permutations of things you can say about the topic... of course material will be covered over and over again.

But 25 and 26 points in consecutive games for Zo is a big deal. Especially as he was being efficient.

Still a long way to go... but his shot seems to be improving.

If by some miracle Lonzo started scoring 20PPG with efficiency it changes the equation.

It's far from a pattern like Ingram but it looks like the days of triple singles might be behind him.

That game was a disgrace but if the Pelicans win 36 games, BI's winning percentage the first four years will essentially be the same 41% as the legendary AD in his first 4 years.

You need to do some research on why the Pelicans team wasn't a winning team. They were the most injured team in basketball in his time there. Their basketball facility was shared with the NFL and since the NFL>Basketball in New Orleans, many of the modern basketball necessities weren't available.

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/NOP/2017.html

Here is their roster for 2017. Look at how many different players they had in that roster for a season. Anthony Davis was also playing center for much of his career there when the guy is simply too fragile to be banging down low. His natural position is the PF.

Then take a look at a guy like Solomon Hill. After an incredible 4 points and 4 rebounds with the Indiana Pacers, the Pelicans offered him a $48 million four-year contract deal. Anyone with a brain that is dumb enough to offer Solomon Hill that kind of money should have been drug tested. Dell Demps was the GM of that team for nearly a decade and his terrible deals were the root cause of that team's failure.

You're blaming Anthony Davis when he did his job. He was a DPOY candidate, all-NBA player, one of the best rebounders, shotblockers, and efficient scorers in the league. You really have nothing positive to say about Anthony Davis at all despite everyone acknowledging that he is a top 5-7 NBA player in the league. But hey, you're a Bernie Sanders guy. A guy with no facts, no research, just empty statements.

he's gotten marginally better on offense (improved to 57% FT!), but he's in year 3 and is a 12/7/6 guy. his defense seems to have dropped off proportionally to his offensive improvement (both probably a product of playing for gentry). so, meh?

i know i don't want to deal with figuring out how to pay him while i'm trying to chart a course for a young team. yikes.
