Dude just doesn't care enough. I just hope he can get his s**t together for the playoffs.

I expect him to have a very good contract year next season and get paid just to regress again after that. I'm over this project and hope we trade him at the next deadline for players with some passion for this game.

makes sense that kuz is better with lebron. and honestly, if we had a scoring/ballhandling guard--even of backup caliber--a unit led by that player and AD would be fine without lebron against second units.

i agree that our commitment to playing dwight and mcgee has had an effect on kuz's productivity, though. and if that's how we roll going forward, it will make more sense to spend less on a kuz-like player and more on a scoring guard, for sure.

but just to remind folks: there wasn't a scoring guard of this type available this summer for what we had to offer. cory joseph (not a scoring guard) got 3 years, 40 million.

i suppose seth curry is the one that got away here, but i'd have to revisit the timing of that one--think he's another one kawhi cost us.

Don't worry about it. He'd be sitting on the bench so that Rondo can play more instead. Also, he'd go 1-5 for 3 when he actually plays.

That is such the pattern for young talent that doesn’t necessarily want to be the best. Ball out in the contract year, get paid, then hit the club circuit and coast until the next contract year.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that his play went down this season after signing that Puma deal. It will go up next season because it’s his NBA contract year. That will make him a nice trade chip.

LOL one of comments under that hideous picture, coupled with his disappointing play (so far this year) said he was a 6’9” Clarkson. To which someone else replied that was an insult to Clarkson. Correctly.

A penny for Puma’s thoughts in hindsight.

Make all this go away Kuz. Shake yourself. Get your **** together!

JC has been balling out in Utah. I’d like him on this team tbh.

Question for @trodgers. Or @therealdeal (LOL I can try :) ) or anyone else ..... when it comes to the strength that Kuz needs and seems to be lacking in some areas of his game as a 6’9” 3-4 tweener .... are there any good examples of other vegans in physical no pads sports like the NBA?

You can freakin eat eggs if your vegan.
There are still protein shakes dammit

This is just lack of commitment and hitting the weight room as his lack of strength (core, lower body) is his biggest problem against big3's/tweeners

Yes, you can eat "plant-based eggs". I don't think those are actually eggs.

Kids.... this is your power forward on Kardashian. Before Kardashian, Kuzma was an electrifying scorer that caught the eye of basketball curmodgeon Greg Popovich. Now Kuz is a waiter for one of Elton John's after-dark pool parties. His jumpers used to be wet, now they are like fried eggs thrown at a Denny's at 3 a.m.

It's just more of the bulls*** "my truth" garbage that is being floated around. People want to take nuance and shades of gray to mean everything can be true from a certain point of view (Not intentionally quoting Obi-Wan). There are things that are true. There are things that are false. You should care what other people think about you because it's going to have a direct correlation with how much you get paid on your next contract.

I'm pretty sure this is not true?

EDIT .... LOL as you did. Yep there are still protein shakes and hit could hit LBJ up for his super soldier serum connection. Just don't be stupid and putting selfies of hisself on line when the muscles start popping up. Silver's creepily watching all you guys's social media.

pop psychology gone off the rails. we should consider our own life on our own terms. that doesn't mean a complete divorce from the shared reality that binds civilization.

in short: if you're always the problem in everyone's eyes, it's time to consider the possibility that you need fixing.

as far as kuz goes, i can't get in his head. i don't know what he means by all that. the healthy interpretation is that you can't live and die by criticism. and that makes sense. the unhealthy interpretation is that the world basically doesn't exist outside your own head--a proposition that basically CAN'T be held by an active member of social media.

i think kuz is having a hard time with his lack of production but knows that the team winning supersedes it. i think he likes being fun and weird and famous. i actually don't question his work ethic (much). i question his talent. he slipped to the late first after three years of college for reasons. they persist. i think he's done a lot with what he was given. sorry he's not a star. he's not going to be. but he's doing what he's asked to do, imo. and he's not overpaid yet. let's complain then.

I think that photo put me over the edge because it maybe seemed and someone here suggested that his effort in the rebound dept dropped immediately off after the deadline passed ..... and then to see him looking like THAT ..... certainly not thick enough for what most of us kind of figured he should be by age 25? Look at Tatum as a comparison. I mean I don't know if he has bigger bones or not but some of that has to be mature muscle mass Tatum has at a younger age versus what Kuz still seems lacking now. Look at his legs in those stupid pants. :swear:

Can this guy focus on his game? Thats what it comes down to.

IMO right now he looks way more focused on his off court activities.

My biggest gripe about Kuz is I think he has the talent to be a star. He just doesn't seem to want it bad enough to go get it. Mentally weak players are hard to tolerate. He needs a few DNP games to catch his attention.

He needs to be traded for a hungry young player. Being number 3 to LeBron and AD, and if you are also hungry, you can’t not succeed with that setup. This guy is a soft a** #3 and still has a shoe deal and interest around the league. Go find a hungry young player in a bad situation and get him with Lebron and AD and watch him take off.

Seems to have gotten Lonzo's attention. Don't know if he got DNPs or not but he got demoted to coming off the bench for some games by Gentry.
