BI will get the max but when guys like Booker can get the max, it's not shocking. Pelicans should do their best to keep Lonzo, Zion, and Ingram. They will be a fun team to watch if they can retain those pieces.

What did I say earlier today. Let's see where state of the art rehab directed by Judy Seto can take him in the months before the playoffs.

yeah and he would make the team way worse defensively if he played.

Only Howard and A.D should see minutes at the 5 in the postseason ( maybe Bron in some cases)

I've always been a big Cousins fan. Selfishly, a part of me wants me to see him out there this year, even if its very late or minimal. Then the other part, which is the majority, hopes he sits this season out and lets his body fully heal.

What’s wrong with McGee that he couldn’t see his usual high energy lesser minutes to start games once we get there? The guy still gets no respect from some here. If he’s overmatched in some way then you have in game adjustment. Why would you do that to him?

Not to mention the Hack a Dwight.

still don't like it. don't see how it boosts the team with basically zero time to get acclimated--and our team requires that, imo. don't see how it benefits him to risk injury and/or being a scapegoat for a lakers failure in the playoffs. just rest it up, get right, and kick a** next year. be the reason lebron and AD get to average 32mpg instead of 35 next year by not blowing out a lower extremity in futility.

You guys may hand wring over it but like I said before, personally I'm down if the Lakers organization, Judy Seto and Cousins himself all feel he's ready. And LVBD you answered above the role he could fill. Play off the bench in limited minutes of course. Lakers need him. He wants it.

On one hand people said we needed to trade everyone to go to win now mode.

Now people are saying we need to take our time with Boogie?

I get what you all mean about chemistry but it all depends on matchups. If you are playing against the Lopez Brothers you will want Boogie to be there.
If Dwight gets in foul trouble you want that extra six fouls.

I wouldn't risk his health but if Vogel's not using that 12th man for three point shooting anyway, then Boogie might as well play if given a clean bill of health.

This is our best chance to win a title.

The good teams are young and only going to get stronger and GSW will be back next year.

If he looks good in workouts, I'd play him.

You gotta play him - he stretches the floor more than Dwight/McGee ever could - and he allows AD to still play the 4.

You have to remember that BOogie actually won GSW one of those games in the finals - if he can win us one or two games in the playoffs, it's absolutely worth it to bring him back. It's going to be on Vogel on when to play him and when to sit him - it's all about matchups.

Plus there's a chance one of our bigs isn't healthy in the playoffs - McGee could be injured, Dwight too...heck worst case what if AD is injured for a game? Cousins is a great insurance policy to have...of course I'd rather he gets a few regular season games in before he plays in the playoffs...but I'd still take him as a 12th man on the roster that's for sure.

Yeah, I agree. Health-wise, I'm in no position to comment. I leave that up to the experts. But it's always good to have an extra big in the playoffs.

You do not rush back from 2 injuries in a row like he had. Rushing back is almost certainly why he had the 2nd one. If he insists on playing, and he doesn’t care if his career ends on the next one, fine, but if he’s thinking long term, he’d be wise to sit out and come back after a full season out and a full offseason working his way back. I want to win, but when the man’s career is on the line, possibly getting one last big payday or ending up like IT, broken and damaged goods, I advise him not to play.

He also lost them quiet a few other ones

They attacked him int he pick and roll every time

He was way too slow, not healthy, and not in shape

    We are ok on bigs

If he really isn't ready and will come back looking like finals Boogie of last yr, then he should sit

We need him HEALTHY NEXT YEAR

This year and this summer is a good amount of time to recover

Those who haven't had major surgeries don't realize how long it really takes to get back to feeling normal, if ever

He will know if he is ready. A man has to live with himself. He has the chance to be part of an NBA Championship. Not a cheerleading role but a chance to play and make an impact. Very few of us that wouldn't roll that dice
